I honestly don’t have a clue because of the world cup and the potential for injury and burn out from that. How all the clubs handle it and how far the players go in that competition will be huge.

Apparently we play all of the top 6 from last season away from home before the tournament. If we manage to get through the majority of those games undefeated then we will be in a great position. That might also be a reason why we may look like we haven’t had a good start before the World Cup if we don’t win a couple of those games. Doing well in those games and with a better run in the new year and who knows.

4th but competitive in the cups, hopefully bagging one of them- any one will do

Maybe third if Lenglet surprises, we get competition for Dier and perhaps also a clever AM

2nd if we don't have major injuries to Son/Kane (or Dier). Think/hope Liverpool will need time for Darwin to settle. But afraid City with Haaland will be just too good.

3/4 we would need to make up 20 points on the top two from last year, that’s a huge ask. That’s 20 points assuming we can repeat a double over city again, which is also a big task. I’ve heard others say that City and Liverpool won’t repeat last years total, but I think City can, they are going to score a lot of goals. Liverpool lost an important player but they will be very determined having gone so close in the end last year.

All that said I think we will do better and I really really hope we win an actual trophy as that is so badly needed to bring some believe that we can get over the line in competitions. So for me we improve but no higher than third.

Need someone else to step up and take some points of Pool & City , both have new strikers they will be tough to keep up with. Am predicting 3rd but hoping we can do better need to start picking up points at places like the Bridge and Emptirates.

3rd. Calling it now with all the new signings and a full Conte pre-season. Not near City and Liverpool yet, but can push for 3rd and be best of the rest.

3rd, I think we aren't quite at City or Liverpools level yet but we will make progress and be stronger this season. Think Chelsea will be very close with us though, despite some issues during pre season they always seem to find a way to get results.

I’m going 2nd. I think Liverpool might have a wobble this year. If we get another top CB and front-three player I think we could run city really close and still finish 2nd.

3rd for me... 20 points is a lot to catch up... New signings will provide a bit of boost though, so maybe, just maybe a title push.

20 is a lot but dont forget we had pretty much four months without Conte in post.. so that surely would equate to say three or four more wins - we lost against teams we wouldnt normally lose against pre and post Conte come to think of it but dont think we will lose those kind of games this season. We will lose the odd game but I think Liverpool will. Man City will be dominant

I genuinely cantw ait for this season to start

Had enough of waiting

You’re including 10 matches before Conte in your “20 points” comparison. They’re scarcely relevant.

Also, people are looking at our players based on how they performed before Conte got hold of them and as part of an unbalanced squad and a dissatisfied team. Many of them are not the same anymore, in terms of consistency and focus.

Most importantly, people are not accounting for the effect of teamwork and group solidarity.

it should be a lot tighter at the top this season, for all six big clubs and probably a couple of talented interlopers.

What are the best available odds on us winning the league, or without Man City and Liverpool? Or a trophy. I could do the research myself but cba. Hopefully, one of you will happily do the donkey work for me.
