Where the heck is Kaboul / other defender stuff

Okay so where the heck is Kaboul?
Is he ever going to be fit??
Very frustrating as he hasn't had a run of games since Vertonghen's arrival and otherwise I'd be tempted to cut our losses as really need to be sorting a settled back four.
Speaking of Vertonghen what's the update with him?
Much as I've loved Dawson in the past I do think we need to move on from him with some pacier, more technical players - was gutted Caulker was sold in summer as would have been happy to see him become a starter alongside Vertonghen if Kaboul is unable to stay fit (which seems to be the case).
It's a real shame as Verts / Kaboul would be a real asset as a defensive partnership.

And speaking of Vertonghen has there been any update on him? (sorry if this is somewhere on site, having real problems with laptop at mo so finding it difficult to search things out).

Even if we had Vertonghen back he could look to develope a partnership with Chiriches.

We've needed one since the summer. #1 priority now in Jan.

Chiriches should be given this season to see how he goes though, especially if Verts can actually get fit and have a run in the centre alongside him.

Hate to say it with Kaboul but if he can't get fit this season I'd look to cut losses in summer as we can't afford to be carrying these injury-prone defenders anymore.

Love Kabs but we can't rely on him anymore. Thats 1 1/2 seasons now. Sadly he has to go.

Keep Verts, Daws, Chiriches and Vejlkovic and add someone like Lovren or even Caulker. I also quite like Jonas Olsson. We should pick someone who knows the Premier League.

That was because he kept getting shoved to left back thought wasn't it?

You'd hope with Rose back, Fryers maybe being able to provide cover and the possibility of Disco Benny coming back should make this very unlikely now though.

The vertonghen rumour was BS. Just regarding AVB and a transfer. If he was so unhappy i think we would have known by now as he is very outspoken. Kaboul is another king but not as good but i am gutted if it comes to him being unable to perform again at the top level due to injury! Love him.

It's such a shame his career has been ruined by injuries. What a beast he is when he's fully fit. I also think we need to look elsewhere, but I'm really praying he makes it in the end. If not here, then somewhere else.
