Not bothered by willian at all....Even more so after his whoring around the prem clubs...Really don't need someone like him at our club and let's be honest he isn't exactly a goal scoring machine (20 goals in 140 since 2007). Not sure what his assist ratio is like either but all I see is brazilian trickery, There must be a logical reason that he has had only a few international apps? Not worth £30m+...We might have dodged a bullet and I also feel our £/Euro30m will be better spent!!

He had one 15 assists and one 17 assists season, he doesn't score lot of goals but does well everything else and he is very creative. Perfect for us and just what we need. And one of the AVB targets it seems. We 100% haven't dodged a bullet, this is a big blow to us. I don't think we'll find better player with similar qualities, but I'm sure Baldini has Plan B and C..

Not the end of the world, but I'm not happy at all.

We fucked them up the arse so hard when we didn't let Modric go there after his tapping up. Just remember that and you'll feel a little better like me :)

Fantastic player and a great loss. I had concerns with the length of time he was in his London and his presence was very visible.

You do question us even whispering about a title challenge when Chelsea will have players on their bench who would be amongst our best attacking players.

there will be others...... Willian is a fantastic player but he is surely not the only option we have. I think we can trust Baldini, AVB and Levy to have us sorted. Think some people need to calm down. Yes it is annoying but not the end of the world
If it was a one-off mate, then yes I'd agree, but it's a repetitive thing with these ****s nabbing our targets, without any need for the player and it's highly frustrating.

As annoying as this might be let's put it into perspective.

I doubt Willian grew up as a Liverpool, Spurs or Chelsea fan so he will have no loyalty to either club. What he will do is go for football reasons. Right now, we are more attractive than Liverpool but as much as it pains me to say it Chelsea, with or without Mourinho are more attractive than us. To really stand any chance of landing this deal, or many others for top quality players, we need Champions League football and we need it consistently.

Again, it pains me to say it but had we been up against Arsenal for Paulinho or Soldado we might not have secured their services too!

So for me this season is about getting into the Champions League and nothing else and with the players we have already signed we are probably already good enough. Any players we sign now are just icing on the cake.

Ssn have twisted joses comments. He only said they are interested, not that he has chosen them

No they haven't. He was asked on camera if Willian has chosen them and he nodded

He then added subject to medical

So he's either lying or it's the truth but for once SSN haven't manipulated it

'Mourinho was then asked where the deal was at and responded saying: “The best thing to do is do the medical in secret. If the player is fine you can sign him.
“If the player is not fine, you don’t destroy his career. You do it in secret and then you sign the contract.”'

Is he suggesting we acted inappropriately?
Its not like we were giving it the biggun about him having a medical, so Jose can fuck off. That was the agent no doubt leaking the news. We've been used.

What's also annoying is that he didn't turn up for his work permit hearing. I'm sorry, is your application to work in the UK not that important? If another immigrant is looking to work in the UK and didn't turn up, would they get another hearing date so soon?
Doubt it.

Some of the comments on here would be more at home on RAWK ffs. Yes its a disappointing loss but comments wishing him a broken leg and the likes are bang out of order ffs. He has chosen higher wages and the chance to play in the CL..,it has happened before and will happen again and I suspect most of you would do exactly the same. Its not like we haven't already bought quality players and I have no doubt there will be more.
