Senegal should've beaten Japan too. They led twice and looked the better side for most of it.

But in a three match group it only takes a couple of mistakes to send you home.

Some might say corner kicks, but a big part of football is being able to absorb pressure defensively. It would be a tiebreaker that is inherently biased towards the bigger nations. At least it doesn't come down to FIFA ranking...
