Someone should take out Otamendi for that.

Second time Otamendi has done something like that this tournament. Hate him because he thinks he's some hard thug on the pitch. Fuck off mate.

Anyway, fantastic game!

You’re losing by one goal with a minute to play and you think spanking the ball away (admittedly with the intention of hitting an opponent) is a wise idea? Fucking idiot deserves a slap.

Entertaining game for us neutrals, with a couple of cracking goals. In terms of overall quality I haven't seen a lot to fear from that. France have talent but continue to look fairly unremarkable across the 90 minutes, but that was more than good enough to beat, and deservedly so, the continuing clusterfuck that has been the Argentine team.

Tell you what I have noticed in this tournament though, I don't think teams are working hard enough when they have possession of the ball. I know its hard, and virtually all teams these days are able to be disciplined, keep shape, and hard to break down, but I'm seeing it too much where teams are just not playing the game through the central areas in the final third. Instead players are dropping wider to easier areas and play is going down the flanks, rather than attempting to find that space on the edge of the box to receive the ball and quick combinations to try and unlock defences. As I say, it's not easy to play through teams, but too many teams not even attempting to.
