If we are to bring in a non HG striker (Wout being my preference) we would need to sell 2 non HG players Foyth is an obvious one.

The other take your pick from Gazza, Serge, Lamela or cancel Gedson's loan.(I have not included others as unlikely to go IMO).

Think movement on any of those indicates we are going for a non HG option.

Wow he's got a much more impressive scoring record than I thought. 1 in 2 for the last three seasons is very good indeed in the Bundesliga and will surely be perfect for Jose's style of play. Seems like Llorente but actually willing to work, press, be aggressive and use his size properly.

Also, signings from the Bundesliga tend to be hits more often than not. It's a great league very comparable to the prem, and it's a market we should dip in to more often imo.

I’ve been saying this for ages. I think it’s overlooked too easily.

“Weghorst is valued at around £27million but a source close to the player has revealed Wolfsburg have already shown a willingness to accept a payment plan and would not stand in his way of making the next step in his career”

27 million? This could be a bit of a snag for a player who’s already 28.

Why when were linked with a player do we have certain parts of the fanbase worrying about how much that particular player costs? I think we all know by now that levy will only do a deal with the clubs interest involved. Let the club worry.

We paid 12m for 32 year old Llorente so I could see it happening still. Also given his height he isn't reliant on pace as he will always offer that target man option. Giroud is still an effective player as a target man at 33. Also Levy may do a Levy

Yeah, I think there’s a lot of value in the transfer - just interesting to see a fee thrown around as that has been the sticking point in every previous striker transfer. I would hope we can negotiate that down.
