He was the best player under Henry, was made captain and owned the arm band. Showed glimmers of his days at Anderlecht. Down side is that he is slow, but clever and good on the ball. Would be happy with him.
Screw you GH:D...spot on again with your analysis. It seems his availability coincides with Jardim's, who didn't seem to fancy him, return. And yes, he is a good player but I have had and will continue to have doubts about his overall athleticism not just his pace...like Jorginho. This is compounded by the fact that team athleticism/pace as a whole is lacking.

;). Agree with you on all fronts. He would certainly be a "project" player. would he be my first choice, probably not, but I also think there is a very talented player in there and we really need a new CM. I was surprised and impressed with how he stepped up to the captain's armband so that makes me think more positively about getting him. Because of his age he would have sell on value. Considering our situation and how much he would cost I would take the gamble.

If true, I'm surprised Poch hasn't looked at Tielemans and thought he could get a lot out of him. When you consider what he's done with Sissoko he could turn this kid into one of the top CMs in Europe.
I agree but tbh tho he probably thought he wouldn't need to do much with Sissoko after his Euros performances.

It just seems as if Poch no longer wants to develop young players. As ridiculous as that might sound, I believe this is because he realises with this strategy we will just stay where we are at best, we actually need to implement finished products (or close to).

I pay attention when certain Journalists have "exclusives" like this. Matt Law is one of those jounralists. He seems to be very well sourced concerning us, and considering he broke the initial story I'd say that there's a high likelihood it's correct.

All depends on whether Poch wants hi,, I guess.

Judging by Poch's comments today, I'd reckon his answer was no.

Forgive my laziness, been super busy not being a virgin today and engaging with the real world, but how credible are our links with this guy? What has Matt Law actually said?

Back to virgin mode now

I have no hope in this actually happening, but Huddlestone was a phenomenal passer of the ball and we could really benefit from having someone with that ability to hit driven long-range passes (only really Toby can at the moment). Sadly Hudd was far too immobile and nowhere near combative enough for someone of his stature.

I disagree he was very good beside modric, or Parker or Wilson, he never got his groove back after the injury.

Best long ranger passer I think Gazza gives Toby a good run fir his money.

Poch said he's not optimistic about making any signings.

Thanks, fella.

He said he was optimistic but now he’s not. We were clearly after Rabiot earlier this week and he’s turned us down - so Poch isn’t optimistic now. I imagine he’ll deliberate over Tielemans, decide he’s for it after 2 days but by the time he’s made his mind up the window’s closed and Tielemans plays for Leicester
