Tottenham looking to sign on Yura Movsisyan

London's Tottenham Hotspur is looking to sign on Armenian national team and Krasnodar FC forward Yura Movsisyan.

The forward's representative David Abrahamyan confirmed the information. “Yura's successful performance both as a part of Krasnodar and national team attracted the notice of many British clubs, with Tottenham among them. However, nothing specific can be said at the moment,” lifesports.ru quoted Abrahamyan as saying.

According to earlier reports, Movsisyan became one of the transfer targets for CSKA Moscow.

With our transfer dealings (*cough*Damiao*cough*) we're just starting to heat up our interest then.

Movsisyan is good, though. A player I like a lot who could be a different type of striker than what we currently have given his decent pace.

Haha, I read that and the first thought that popped into my head was "Hello, Jermain." Seriously though, just sounds too similar to Defoe. While Defoe has done great for the club in the past, its time we move on and get someone with different weaknesses. We need strikers to stay onside and hold up the ball when need be.
