If we ACTUALLY lost this home game, what would you lot react like? I'm talking as individuals.

Personally I'd be pretty pissed off to say the least - In fact I think I'd be close to crying.

However, I've organised a good Saturday night to do something so if we do lose I can quickly get over it.

I couldn't stand us losing though - even drawing would be a huge kick in the teeth.

If we lost - it would hurt a great deal - and certainly ruin my weekend

I doubt there would be any silver linings to any clouds as maybe we can think the boro cloud was a necessary reality check etc (I don't see it meself- but I know some do)

we'd also probably be in the relegation zone which is not a nice place to be and too too reminiscent of last season's start

I also think while a loss probably won't happen, a draw wouldn't amaze me given that I bet SAFC's preparations haven't been hit as hard by the internationals as ours have

Depending on the odds I may have a little punt on Sunderland/The Draw as at least it will be bitter sweet then. I did the same thing when we played Birmingham last seaso. Went into Willy Hills outside the ground and saw that B'ham were 6-1! Those odds were too good to turn down on a 2 horse race. My method is to NEVER bet on your own team.

As I've posted before, I think we will lose this match.

However, I think we'll then get a draw against Chelsea, thump Villa and go on a good run until Christmas.

If we lose against Sunderland they'll be some truly cringe-worthy knee-jerk posts on this site, and calls for Ramos et al to be sacked, etc.

To be fair, I don't think its just Spurs fans who react in this way; all football fans do!

Nightmare, because we will lose to Chelsea.

If we win well, we could carry that into the Chelsea game and get a draw, 4 points from a potential 9 which includes away days at boro and chelsea isn't a bad start... 0 points from 9 is a nightmare.

it's simple really. If we lose, it's time to sack ramos and poyet and move onto the next great up-and-coming manager.

Mark Hughes any one

Kill myself, maybe?

You should start a thread in Chat called "As an individual, how would you feel if all your loved ones died a slow and painful death and you had to live the rest of your life in mental and physical pain?".

I'd be gutted. The Boro result was dissapointing (mainly because I don't understand how they actually win games), but the first match of the season away from home is always going to be tricky. We need to be keeping the home losses very low this season (no more than 2 or 3 hopefully), so a defeat straight away against Sunderland would not be good.

Hopefully we get a good win to restore confidence and keep the Jenas/Modric/Bent/Zokora/Ramos (delete as appropriate) is shit brigade quiet for a bit.

im supposed to be driving up the M1 for bank holiday weekend, so we better win or i will kill everyone else in the car.

trouble is, everyones got used to sacking the manager after two games so im sure there will be panic if we lose.

Hughes is old news, time to give Allardyce his renaissance. Play some solid old fashioned english football!

Its taken me a few days to get over the Boro loss and be positive again, losing to Sunderland at home would take me at least a week.

Everton and Pompey losing, aswell as United drawing helped soften the blow however.

I would be gutted, especially as we would do it in true Spurs-style: Go 1-0 up and then go on to play like shit and lose 1-2 after a longshot from Malbranque and a sneaky header at the back post from Chimbonda - on the latter with Dawson sprawling on the floor.
In the next game we go on to provide a terrific display against Chelsea, chasing them on all parts of the field, only to lose to a late goal from Lampard.

Bliss.

the answer is sack ramos.....obviously

hahah it might happen with cisse there now, well at least tainio is injured....again haha

i think we got raped bad on the counter because Boro's cm was quite ready to drop off Jenas and Modric and let them play their pretty passes that led to f-all! then both are attacking minded so when our attacksbroke down, JJ and Modric tried to get back and help but this is not their natural game. We need a holding midfield badly.

And after seeing Sunderland v Liverpool we are gonna have one hell of a game on Sat, dont put a defeat past us
