Seems Crouchy is off then. I just hope its not a case that the we havent TIED up a replacement, nailed on, guaranteed. Sounds to me like its another case of one of our players more or less demanding the move and getting it. Its all happened so fast, there had better be a definite replacement more or less done.

I think its been quite obvious to every layman that all the transfers have been hinging on the Milner deal, City just playing silly buggers and leaving it as late as possible to make it nigh on impossible for the rest of us.

If we sell Crouch we should definitely keep Keane. We've tried selling two strikers at the end of a transfer window before and it didn't really work.

You know, as much as I admire Harry's man management, I really don't think we should get carried away with the notion that if a player is shit Redknapp will somehow manage to turn him into Ronaldo, thus he is is a justifiable signing.

Personally I think anything but proper cash value for Crouch isn't acceptable.
A player Harry could work wonders for is what I said. We just don't know. But he is a player with real potential and still young. Plus I think he's in the wrong team. I think he would suit us better.

so at the end of the day will waiting for city to sign milner. If i was city i would sign milner in the last minute and everyone else can f off.

Then Villa probably wont sell him as they wont have enough time to make any signings.

I reckon that was a mistake from BEN and he meant to say 'that Harry wants'.

I still think that nurturing keane back to form would leave us with a far better forward than Bellamy, but I know that I'm completely alone in that.

While I see more potential in babel than most people do, if SO is right and we got straight cash, that would probably be best.

I reckon your right, that makes more sense

I'm thinking that we do have someone lined up, but have been waiting to offload a striker first. It was expected to be Keane, and thus the Milner deal was holding it up (with Villa needing the money for Keane). But now the Crouch thing has happened so I think he'll be the one to free up a spot up front. We might just keep Keane now instead.

I do think we have someone lined up to come in straight after selling 1 of our strikers. Afterall, we've been after a striker all summer.

The Plymouth player must be a young prospect. Unless it wasn't us looking at a player, but to do with us loaning Button to them instead

I really hope the club are actually working on some top names at the moment and all the ITK from the last few days is just being fed to try and keep the real deals quiet. It's hardly inspiring stuff at the minute.

The Plymouth player could be Reda Johnson. Saw his name mentioned on GG of all places. Possibly some more loans going there as well.

First time in this window i have been worried, i would have been happy with few changes from last years squad, but with Crouchie leaving and all the clubs around us strengthening i feel we need more than a couple of signings to stay up in the top 4. The Scousers and the Goons are both stronger than last year, the only team that hasn't strengthened is Man Utd and you can never write them off.

I thought that too

you are far from alone, though there are a fair amount of doubters in keane's ability.
