No it's just better to keep it to ITK. Obviously on a slow day, it can deviate and sometimes an ITK about Bentley leaving with develop into a discussion about Aaron Lennon's eyebrows but this isn't a thread to just drop random news into like 'O'Neil has resigned' or what happened to Dan's ITK status.

I can see that you believe Keane will perform good next season. His preseason certainly gives some ground to believe that, but I'm still judging him on the form he's displayed ever since he joined Lpool. I might be right or wrong for that of course.

If he does play as well as in the preseason, then I'm all for keeping him as I don't think we can find a cheaper alternative of the same quality. Problem is, we don't know that from today's point of view. Villa being firmly interested in him gave us one more option, that's why I said "stuck".

As for Bentley, he's just been bad to average since he joined us.

Lennon's eyebrows are pretty spectacular!

Wouldn't mind if it was because AY was being sold to us, but im sure there would have been ITK?

this is the problem with leaving all of your transfer dealings until the last portion of the window. Things which are out of your control can change quickly, leaving you up the creak without a paddle and needing very rapidly to find a plan B. See also - Arshavin a couple of years ago, Berbatov and Keane leaving and various other stories.
If we've pinned all our hopes on a chain involving us, Villa and City we could be in a bit of trouble now.

I like A Young a lot, I wanted him instead of Bentley two years ago (not to replace Lennon, to play with Lennon in the same team). He's stayed still a bit for a year but so have Villa really, I think he'd be a worthy addition.

I agree. Imo its a complete waste of Young's talents if we don't have a striker that can head the ball.

Pav is capable imo but isn't the heading dynamo that we need.

POTL says deal isn't done. Jacob only said deal on. POTL hasn't said there isn't a deal on, just not done.

Jacob has been getting the information on the shirt sponsors.

I reckon A.Young is a goer now that MON has resigned. I'm not quite sure though if his resignation will delay or speed up the process.

Presumably we wouldn't be looking to buy Remy and Young so will be interesting to see what happens in the next couple of days.

As I've said before though I don't see us making the most of these 'wing-forwards' unless we have a striker who can hold up the ball a bit.
