POTL actually also alluded to there being an incident (though downplayed it more as handbags).

Tbh I'd think Keane would have every reason to, and a lot of sympathy in doing so. He had an excellent pre-season whilst Defoe's was as flat as his second half of the season was. Redknapp then picking the injured Defoe over him must have been the final insult.

Took the words out of my mouth... would rep, but i've got to spread it around apparently.

Are you seriously asking that question??? It has been on this tread every day for a week now. Nobody is convinced however the reading of the UEFA rules indicates that players playing in the first 3 rounds of qualification can play for an alternative team providing their departed club is no longer in the same competition. The knockout stages of the CL are in reallity round 4 and therefore do not fit into this exception. Therefore, he is cup-tied from the CL. However there are a number of people who think the knockouts are part of the perliminary stages and therefore he isn't cup tied (providing Seville lose).

My conviction is that he would not be able to play otherwise there wouldn't have been such a thing about the arsenal target being withdrawn from the squad to ensure he isn't cup tied.

Doesn't sound like you're too sure either......

I remember there being a split in ITK when Keane cleared off to Liverpool. I don't think it was overly far from the type of stuff we're hearing now.

imo we should keep Keane until the end of the season & then replace. Despite the flapping, shouting, pissing about & mincing, he does contribute vital goals & experience.

Levy has also learnt a lot since Campbell classic example is Defoe running his contract down suddenly found himself at Pompey with his thumb up his bum thinking what happened there Sky you told me I'd walk on a free!:)

Sevilla might just want to hang onto Fabiano until they ensure qualification for the group stages so it may be them that are setting the Wednesday dateline rather than us.

In less exciting news... Birmingham want to sign Naughton.

Coz we want to much for Hutton. We need to cut our loses on him or they will go elsewhere and we'll be stuck with a players wage bill that we dont really need.

Happy to sell, i think that was a strange deal to get Walker in and give them someone back for the season but he isn't needed at Spurs. Looks like Walker may even stay with the squad this season despite his age which i support providing he gets to play in the FA and league cup games and some sub appearences in the league. Otherwise he should go on loan to get games, he's a real talent but needs to keep playing at his age to get the experience.

Wow this place got really quiet all of a sudden.

Has there been any news on any outgoing players besides Keane? We really need to trim the squad down.

Naughton is in negotiations with a number of championship clubs regarding a loan move away. Middlesbrough are his most likely destination but we want to loan him to a premiership club to get some experience of the premier league.

Walker is more likely to stay with us this year as the club rate him more then Naughton however with Gallas in he may also leave on loan with west ham and many others interested.

Pompey and Newcastle have enquired about Danny Rose on loan for the season however Harry wont sanction any deal unless he can get Young or Arda Turan.

Also been told nothing will happen regarding Fabiano untill after Sevilla's game with Braga and our game against Young Boys!

Loaning Naughton to Birmingham would be a good bit of business and probably improve him

Is this ITK, have you posted it with the mods. Or were you told by a mate?
