i just want a striker.

i feel that's the only position we really need something fresh.

although i wouldn't say no to someone like Diarra or even A. Young (even though we don't need him).

I think that's how we all feel to be fair. A striker is a priority whereas there are other positions we can strengthen in but that aren't quite as important.

I've got no doubt we'll sign a striker. Harry knows what is needed no matter what others on here say to the contrary.

Seems like I made a good guess about Keano and Sunderland a few hours ago! it's funny how so many people don't rate keane yet are worried about him hurting us! I'm in a box at the game tomorrow a few along from where spurs often put players so I'll keep an eye out

Six million for a top class striker like Robbie Keane is an absolute steal. I hope it doesn't happen.

Keane hasn't been a top class striker for 2 seasons. If he goes to Sunderland he will have found his level. Great player, gave great service prior to his move to liverpool but he isn't good enough for us now.

cheers for the last update adie, here's hoping!!!

I think the fabiano deal is very likely. Fabiano's head is already turned so I doubt he will sign a new contract with sevilla

Update from Adie in the read only.

Have to admit, after Jol-gate, DV has been fantastic ever since, so I reckon he's gone beyond a "Klinsmann" moment already...but a nice Fabiano signing certainly won't harm his reputation much either!

Agreed. His cameo against Young Boys in the first leg alone shows that he's worth more than 6m. Didn't Wolves sign Steven Fletcher for that sort of amount? Surely Keane is worth about twice that.

c'mon!!! just sign him up already!! keane out , get fabiano in and huntelaar on loan. sell pav during jan and settle for fabiano, defoe, crouch and KJH
fabiano defoe for EPL home & away
crouch defoe for CL home

AdiePF, I think im misunderstanding your latest ITK as no1 else seems to have picked up on it.

But from my understanding of that post, doesnt it suggest your getting 4th hand information, as you said (his source) and then (the source) which suggests, you have a source, that has a source, that has a source.

p.s in typing that I spelt source ..sauce 4 times - this is what SC does to you

I was one of his harshest critics after the Ramos/Jol fiasco but to be fair to Levy he's been excellent for us and as you said he doesn't need a Klinsmann signing. Klinsmann was the signing that made us forget that we were actually quite crap at the time. We don't need that now because we are now in Europe's elite competition and playing some fantastic football.

We need players to fit into the team, not players to hide our lack of talent elsewhere and that shift is largely down to Levy.
