Do you actually have any use, other than being my personal spellchecking pit pony ? Because it's been a real long time since you actually said anything interesting. You seem unable to actually debate anything, you are just a slightly camp, very grammatically correct spamqueen who only seems to exist to bitch about other peoples opinions.

Erm yes. Do a search if it's not beyond you.

Where did I correct your spelling? You spelt wankers as per convention. That wasn't my point.

I am not sure how you thought what I said or say was camp but then because you insist on throwing the same accusation at SS57 it is clearly an odd defence mechanism you have; well that and making ageist remarks about someone who isn't that much older than you.

But everyone's a wanker or a lemming or a queen aren't they? My God, and you are in your forties. How sad.

Or a white Michael Ricketts

at 20 years old Michael Ricketts wasn't lighting up the championship and leading his team to the EPL were at 21 he didn't miss a beat stepping up to the superior league and banging goals in from all ranges

the comparison with Michael Ricketts is a lazy one to say the least so go do your homework in future

Totally agree with you, I did exactly the same - watched them with interest knowing we were strongly linked with Suarez and he just left me cold. The Ghana display didn't help either!

Well the Ghana display made me think he would be better cover for Gomes than Carlo

Top priority ?
Target Man, i would prefere Dzeko, but wouldn't mind Adebayor or Lorente or Carroll.

other positions ?
CB: i would sell King & and loan Woody, and get someone like Gary Cahil to add competition to Daswson & Kaboul.
DM: i would loan both Sandro & O'Hara for new DM, and all of Parker, L.Diarra, Flamini good and likley.
Wing: while Gio & Benltey would go, replacing them with someone like Pienaar wouldn't be bad idea.

in: Dzeko £25m , Cahil £15m, Parker/Flamini £10m, Pienaar £4m = £54m
out: King £5m, Bentley £8m, Keane £7m, Crouch £10= £33m.
loan out: Woodgate, O'Hara, Sandro, Giovani .. with Naughton must be recalled as RM backup.

We could ended up with :

Gomes
Hutton - Dawson - Cahill - Ekotto
Lennon - DM - Modric - Bale
VDV
Dzeoko

Cudicini
Corluka - Gallas - Kaboul - Bassong
Jenas - Huddlestone(inj) -Palacios - Kranjcar
Pienaar
Pav/Defoe

Aren't you forgetting bassong as competition? Yes he may have his slip ups but which player doesn't? He has been immense since called upon. Dzeko is man city bound unfortunately but llorente would be my choice, I agree the target man is top priority but why would be need to buy pienaar and recall naughton too? Parker I don't want, diarra maybe and loaning sandro may be a good idea. Sell o'hara if we can as well as Gio, keane, bentley and crouch if replaced

I'm sure Milan would be happy about selling Flamini to us, maybe we should make a loan move for Ibrahimovic too. Smooth sailing into the final eight.

if £5m too much for injury prone, then you must agree that he isn't good enough for us.

you may miss the report and pictures about him ingnored Redknapp orders not to drink too much, may be if it's Bentley, people would jump at him, but because he is L.King, he must untouchable ?

i don't think it's good to treat him as Key player, Club captain with these wages, and yet he still do these things, never mind he is injury prone !

King is finished, we must save this £3m year salary for new signings and take these millions Now .. far better than courtesy, for the best for this club we love.

because all of Bentley, Gio & Niko could go, Naughton would be decent backup for RM, he played there in pre-season 2009 and was good.

Dzeko, i know it's touch, but still possible IMO .

Spurs Q8 - The players you've listed to get rid of seem to be some of the most influential players at the club. Do you think it would affect squad harmony if we got rid of all of them at once?

I'm not sure that Ledley is untouchable. We don't know if he really was drunk, we don't know if Harry told him he could have a few as he's injured and we don't know how harrys reacted if he was drunk.

King is good enough for us, and good enough for any team in the world when he plays IMO, but his injuries are handled expertly by us and have the ability to get as much as we can out of him with his knee (he just keeps injuring everything else now) but other clubs wont risk paying 5 million for a player they wont know how to keep fit or know how many games he can play a season.

King is far from finished... should woodgate go too? he was injured alot also....

some fans totaly shock me with the attitude to some players who have shown total loyalty to the club and then want to just shit all over them

A bit boring, but I would take Carroll and Parker. I think they are pretty safe bets that will help us this season in the league and possibly Champs league too. I would prefer Benzema and Diarra, but I think they will take longer to settle and may be better targets for the summer.

If I were levy, bid our max for Diarra and Benzema, if that fails move on without pissing about to Carroll and Parker. If they try to mug us wait till the summer unless someone else of top quality is readily available. I can see us ending up with Carroll only, having paid over the odds, which would be fine in the context of the season we are having and our main difficency.

I think it is the end of the road for...Gio, Kranjcar (unfortunately - I hope he stays though), Keane, O'Hara, Naughton. I think Bentley has filled in ok previously and will only be sold once we have more cover for lennon. If Niko stays then perhaps Bentley would be allowed to leave, but in terms of covering lennon I think Bentley is better although inferior as a player overall.

What I'd quite like for January is for things to be sorted as early as possible in the month. We can't afford to wait until the end of January to assemble our full squad as we could be well off the pace by then if things don't go right.

I know that is an unreasonable wish as everything takes until the last day of the window but if you don't ask you don't get.

I think the problem is that we need a settled centre-back pairing and whilst Ledley is in the squad we'll never get that.

It's a really tough one because Ledley is a legend and is still able to play at the highest level but I think for us to improve defensively we need a stable defensive pairing and that will never happen whilst Ledley is yo-yoing in and out of the team.

We made the decision on King when we gave him a new contract, he's here for this season and next. He's not sellable, as no one would be willing to pay due to his injuries.
Discuss whether he should be automatic starter when fit, sure, but to discuss whether he should be at the club or not is pointless.

I don't really understand that - why would we blow all our money on inferior players? Ridiculously Carroll and Parker will cost as much as Benzema and Diarra (in both cases around £35m for the pair I'd guess). The Madrid pair would make a real difference to our first 11, whereas Carroll is an unproven kid on a 6 month hot spell and Parker is an ageing injury-prone journeyman who has already flopped at this level.

I think we are passed the days of paying well over the odds on average players because that's all we can attract. I'd rather wait for the right players who can genuinely improve us.

If Madrid aren't playing ball then we need comparable calibre targets - Llorente and Gomez upfront, Javi Martinez and Inler for CM etc.

wtf. King is finished? Whenever he plays, 9 times out 10 he is our best defender. Even when he doesn't train or when he returns from an injury he performs better than any of our other centre backs.

We cant sell him anyway, because he wouldn't pass a medical. But the mere suggestion to sell him in the first place baffles me.

You are talking about the King of 3 seasons ago, there is no way with his current fitness level, he would walk in to any team in the world.
Are you advocating we pick a team based on nostalgia, nobody is disrespecting Ledley, it would benefit the team for stability at the back, unfortunately with the current version of King that's not going to happen.

I'm pretty sure he's advocating picking a team based on who is best for the team. Nothing to do with nostalgia.

The stability at the back thing doesn't really make sense anyway. Last season we rotated between King and Bassong yet it didn't affect us one jot. The only problem is when you make several changes to the defence like we have had to do this season, with Kaboul, Gallas and Hutton all being unfamiliar with one another.

i've read this forum for long time now, and i've seen enough of bashing for Bentley, Keane Zokora, Jenas, and even Harry Redknapp, and i can remember someone started a thread and was glad to meet King, and compared him to Terry, so everyone including myself agreed that we must be proud without captain as he is 'lead-by-example' .. and showed commitment for us.

well, what now after this ?

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbi...lped-home-enjoying-teams-Christmas-party.html

the man getting paid for this ? is it for the first time ? simply no.
if he loves us, well, pay cut or pay as your play deal, and we must find long term replacement, not someone backup like Bassong, who isn't half King quality.

be honest, and show some fainess ..

and for me, King isn't going to be good enough for us, we are losing stability with him, we are losing subs for CB sometimes for him, we are losing awful money for someone couldn't be fit for many months in year for long time ..

clubs like Wigan, Fulham, Sunderland, West Ham, Blackburn wouldn't mind getting him for cheap £3-5m as they don't play in Eroupe.
