The sensible idea would be to take Benzema on a 6 month loan deal with a view to a permanent deal if he impresses, If Real would allow it of course, Harry saying he doesn't want to gamble so much money on one player unless that player can be proven, he'd get 6 months to asses him. We would have to add a stipulation in the deal where we would get first refusal on buying him just in case other clubs come in for him. Would be the route I'd take.

I think they would have if Higuain hadn't got injured. Then again they may go and sign another striker in January, I still wouldn't rule out Tevez leaving City for Real yet and this kiss and make up is just a show until Jan 1st 2011.
Yeah you could be right - maybe thats why City are going after Dzeko now!

None of our strikers are crap. Its just that neither is anything special, or on the same level as VDV, Bale and Modric.
What we really need is a Klinsmann/Sheringham/Keane/Berbatov level of striker. Someone technical and intelligent. Which is why I dont understand the talk about Carroll, who is best suited to ugly football.

He's not good enough. Either scores a goal and goes missing for the other 89 mins or doesn't score and goes missing the whole time he's on the pitch. Link up play is poor, work rate poor, and his first touch is normally atrocious. Great finisher but thats about it!

Kalinic and Llorente are realistic options. Kalinic is going to be a real class player, and I think he'd definitely mature brilliantly in our squad. Llorente is one of the best target men out there, and although his goal record isn't tip top for club it is 1 in 2 for Spain, and I definately think that given service from our wingers he could bag a fair few goals.
Realistically Benzema would be a target for 'bigger clubs'. Dzeko is pretty much already at City, Forlan is old and injured and doesn't fit into our transfer policy, Suarez might be a target but I really hope we don't get him.
