ouch! but its still the truth :bowdown::hump:

i'd happily Take Parker & Cole if Redknapp thought they would improve our squad.

if it didn't work out, Redknapp would have to live & die by those decisions.

but it doesn't take a genuis to work ou that the chances are fairly high that it wouldn't work out with Cole - recent history should tell us all that.

At least with Parker, they guy has had a good season and could offer us something different from the middle of the pitch, I can understand taking a chance on him.

Not bothered by either but a lot of people are writing them off because Cole has been shit for 4 seasons, Forlan didn't have a good year last year, so lets not sign them. TBH if they'd had blinding seasons we'd be nowhere near signing them would we? If Harry can get either playing to their potential, they could be good signings.

I'd love to see Forlan playing for us.

One bad season after falling out with his coach does not mean he is rubbish.

And finally someone who can take a decent direct free kick.

:hump:

He'll lose his set piece quality if he comes here. VDV and Bale are supposed to be set piece specialists.

So what if Forlan had a bad season. Harrys a master at bringing out the best in players people have previously written off as "past it"

Re: Forlan and Archie's info, could be wrong but Shanks haven't you been saying about the medical has been booked for a few days now? If Levy was negotiating the deal abroad yesterday for Forlan would he have booked a medical a few days ago?

I agree but the only issue with this is that he is near the end of his career and it's hard to just to switch it on again, even worse if you haven't got much time to turn it around

Another ITK who works at one of the hospital said the club is always booking medicals and cancelling them just in case they do reach a agreement with the team and player

Didn't Bale score 2 free kicks for us when he first joined? I remember one against the Goons, that went low and beat Almunia by his post.

But otherwise yeah we haven't had much luck with direct free kicks over the last few years.

As i've said in a couple of posts above, Harry is the master at getting the best from the type of player you've just mentioned.

really what happened with Keane. i think it is a myth really that Harry can do that.

It does'nt work on every player though does it, but i honestly think that Harry is one of the best when it comes to getting the best out of older players.

That's a big "IF" in Coles case....

i heard that alot in the last few years and even prior to him joining as manager. but him not getting out of keane, letting Kranjcar slip down the pecking order or not getting the best from wilson or jenas has told me it is mythical at best. like most managers he has his favourites. harry waits until players are injured before giving others a role in the team. seing as this is the itk thread let me close before the Pc guys chuck us out.

I agree Forlan has the ability to turn it around but if I was at the club I would ask for his medical history, because he has played alot of games in the last 8 seasons and if this was due to him taking injections I would pass

Whereas someone like drogba who has only being playing for at the top level in the last 8 seasons(like forlan) he expected to carry on for another couple of years because of this and more importantly Scolari stopped Drogba playing with injuries using injections
