i think imo that harry & levy would have finalised targets today...

harry said in his SSN interview that levy agrees we need to bring in people to compliment modders..

this weekend i think bids will go in, just my opinion

2) Those who are signing people have alot of spare cash to throw around. United and City we know about. Liverpool also have their Torres money plus whatever the new guy is funding them with (which is clearly alot). Sunderland have 20m from the Henderson sale. Who else other than that is really buying loads of people at the moment?

Brighton :hump:

bids aren't imminent. if they are at the lodge together today, it will be a regular meeting they often have throughout transfer windows to discuss targets, outgoings etc. there's a long way to go before we place bids that we genuinely feel will be accepted. Levy will be at the lodge quite often over the next week as there are issues to sort out with various players over their future, ie modric and the 'deadwood' brigade, and if there have been tentative enquiries, these players will need to be told what the plan of action is going to be.

however, as i've said before, we're trying to do things earlier this year, and the work starts now. 'imminent bids' is very misleading though.

storts ITK spot on, just like i've been saying, no cryptic this and that about an imminent signing, NOTHING HAPPENING right now bar modric staying and pedrozo coming.

Heard anything about us enquiring for Charles N'zogbia?

I fucking hope so. We need time for these signings to settle in.

Nonsense!

Rafa didn't take time to settle in did he?

Yes it's preferable if they get some more time with the team but good players don't need that.

The bigger issue is getting them signed in time for our tricky opening games.

mate surely its preferable we get them in early...in an ideal world i mean

if we signed a player before wednesday they could go to SA & bed right in, that would be excellent...

it hardly nonsense:shrug:

No you are right and I suppose if we had VDV in the first few games it would have made a difference.

nothing recent, we've looked at him though. he's in my sig for one reason - i think he'd be a great signing!

I heard from my source a while back that we have looked at him.

I think he's a much more realistic purchase than the likes of Mata.

I like him, he's versatile hard working, has a good goal ratio and is a good at set pieces.

Would absolutely love him to come at the Lane.

He's the type of signing that can push us on to the next level.

I wouldn't say N'Zogbia would push us to the next level seeing as he wouldn't be much more than cover for Bale/Lennon. Someone like Mata would push us onto the next level although as you said, he's very unlikely to come to spurs.

This sell before you buy is doing my head in. United have a big squad and they bought 3 or 4 of who they want in and are now selling 3 of their dead wood.
