I'm encouraged by the news today that we're only after £4.5m for Keane and that Owen Coyle is interested - getting rid of him would be a huge relief, freeing up squad space, a small amount of capital, and a very large chunk of the wage bill.

I still want us to get shot of Gio, Hutton, one of Defoe or Pav, and Bassong. I'm sure you'd get around £25m for that lot at a conservative estimate.

My ideal incomings would still be:

Vucinic
Leandro

I still think Bentley can do a job (yes, I'm STILL giving him a chance, seeming as no-one seems to want him). I don't see the need for another CB as I'd promote Kaboul to first reserve behind Dawson and Gallas (with the long-term aim of him replacing Gallas), unless King does end up retiring or something. I also don't want us to sell Wilson as he's quality and still vital to the squad. I'd sooner lose Huddlestone to be honest, though they should both have a role to play. Oh and obviously I'd like to keep and actually play Niko.

Lisandro lopez would be amazing but he cost lyon 25m euros i think so they would want that back and maybe some more. so i dont think that is a goer. like rossi!

If we are seriously looking at Lisandro Lopez, then I am psyched. Lopez over Vucinic any day. Rossi is never gonna happen. So my dream front line options:
Leandro, Lopez, Pav (and Crouch as an option should he be needed - which hopefully wouldn't be too often) Defoe and Keane gone. We'll see if that Pedroza kid has a surprise or two in him. I reckon that's an outlay of around 30 million quid with a world class striker among them (Lopez if you didn't get that)

He's exactly what we need. His fighting spirit alone would be worth it. He needs the move as well for his sake.

On the Lisandro Lopez ITK, he's a pretty good player isn't he? All I know is that he destroyed me on FIFA so he must be.

I would happily replace all 4 of our strikers and would be delighted with:

1: Rossi
2: Vucinic
3: Leandro
4: Pedroza

With respect, how much have you seen of the last two to make you satisfied with that quartet? I am not having a good and I am aware how ineffective our strikers where last year but what qualities do the South American pair have that make you potentially happy with them making up 50% of the strikeforce for next season?

Leandro in and Defoe to Newcastle tomorrow would make a pleasing end to the week

Where has that come from mate?

I believe he would be available for less than 24million euros (reading between the lines at Lyon) he is pretty much a 1 goal in 2 striker. Very good conversion rate for a support striker. He is relativley small 5ft 8" so is in the mold of your Rossi / Vucinic.

Think hes like 28/29 so probs wont have much of the maligned 're-sale value.
