You mean those rumours that weren't right? (cf. Dawson incident). I had always though of him as someone at the club due to the way he toes the party line.

In his defence, Dawson might have simply put it to bed in public (because he is a gentleman) but sorted it out in private. Or they gave him £65k a year... or a go on Danielle Lloyd... or a shiny new tractor.

why would sherwood or allen do that? seriously, and why is it that when he is right its HIM who is the oracle and deserves us all to gently stroke his ballsack in appreciation whereas if the info isnt right then its not POTL's info, god no! its his source who is wrong.

Even if he knew Lennon, what would Lennon really know about the inner dealings of the club??

It would make him good for Lennon ITK but I highly doubt Lennon himself is aware of club targets and how contracts and bids are being offered (he might here the odd whisper but not a lot more)

ITK is not easy to come by, my Aunt used to be a bank manager representative for HSBC and was the personal account manager for several players and staff at the club (mostly youth players but a few first teamers including Jenas and Dawson)

I remember after going to games as a guest of our former skills coach Ricardo Muniz we used to meet in the vip bar and have a drink with him post match.

One time during the transfer window I was talking about football and spurs to both Ricardo and briefly Chris Hughton and both instantly pleaded ignorance and it was like getting blood from a stone (even for a guy as charming as me)

"maybe one" was the only near answer I extracted as to whether we would sign someone before the window closed and this came with no indication of who that might be. I forget who we bought come deadline day, maybe Steed Malbranque but either way if those guys did know what was going on they knew full well loose lips sink ships and weren't looking to mouth off about it (I have no doubt that Hughton as assistant manager at least knew what was going on)

Right everyone let's put a stop to this now. The same rules apply to POTL as to any other ITK. He gets his info and he provides it to Spurs fans in good faith. We don't know the origin of that source but we do know that he has got things right in the past therefore it gets posted. As is the case with all ITK sometimes it will be right and sometimes it will be wrong. Please can we not have a lengthy discussion on his merits as an ITK as it will only end in people getting banned which somewhat ruins it for everyone.

Dawson did what a player who wants to stay at the club should do, Modric did what a player who wants out would do to try and force the issue when tied in to a long contract and his club refuse to sell.

I think we as a club, I mean set of fans need to relax on the Modric situation. If he goes he goes... fine boo him when he comes back in Chelsea colours. but if he stays and does the business as he always has for the club I would hope we don't cut our nose off to spite our face and boo him.

It would only compound a bad situation.

Good to see Dawson coming out to discredit these reports, I like how he dismisses them out of hand and refers to his pride at playing for and captaining the club. End of story with one quick interview.... move on to the next story, hopefully an exciting striker signing for us.

ITK regarding incomings seem to have gone quiet, LEandro off (perhaps "the new Drogba" takes his role as cheaper young prospect striker)
Rossi seems set to go else where if he moves at all, and I have heard nothing from Falcao or Llorente (I mean nothing about) in any itk clips to make me think we will be signing either (other than Llorente being in London.... but was later photographed at Wimbledon supporting compatriot Nadal so a non story)

Very frustrating to think we do not have clear targets worked out and already all but tied up, I really thought after missing out in Jan we would have had most of the dog work for these deals tied up ready to fire when the window opened. Hopefully things are moving behind the scenes and are simply not being leaked to any sources that could be picked up by ITK or papers.

A double striker signing to come out of the blue :grin:

Some one hit the nail on the head when they said the club can easilly spin things aswell... Phantom said there was issue but no where near what the press were reporting... Who's to say he is even wrong...

Alternatively why do we have to slaughter any ItK that is wrong and actually discuss their information rather than wait for it to fail to materialise for some to gleefully bask in their incorrect information?

Has the blue and yellow riddle been solved? Thought it was Leandro, but POTL said its a signing that will keep modric happy and Leandro aint a big enough signing for that.

Could be Falcao as coloumbia play in blue and yellow.

But also POTL came out with Bap Bap americano, Blue and Yellow.

Bap Bap Americano is from a song called "Speak no americano" an italian song (well atleast with some italian lyrics) about america.

Rossi is part american, plays in blue for Italy, and play in yellow for Villareal.

I could of told you we were in for Rossi on June 1st as we bid for him in January. Both us and Villareal have confirmed a bid came in Jan for Rossi so it is hardly ITK to suggest we're after him now.

Anyway, Rossi to Juve, what about Aguero..?!!
