@ Yidio, can see why your getting annoyed because i get annoyed with these "ITK'S" myself......... Most the time they build your hopes up and you end up getting annoyed when nothing happens. I read their entrys but take everything they say with a pinch of salt. This POTL has this reputation but for me all he does is use Kryptics to try and weave his way out of anything that don't come true...... It was only the other day where he was talking about "Dawson not being happy with contract" ...... 1 hour later Dawson announces on the spurs website that it was a load of **** ..... Most these "ITK'S" probably work for the press and just claim to be inside knowledge

Everyone and their dog attached to the club it's players it's staff agents and coaches knew Parker had agreed and wanted to join, a fee was likely at £3m when we went to discuss more at the end of season they changed the goal posts

If you don't like what some of us say or pass on.

Jog the fuck on

No. Arsenal took him from them very much against their will due to the vagaries of the youth contract system.
Dos Santos is a better comparison.
But I was not criticising Ceballos. I hope he turns out to be a bargain. But this is not just a case of not being good enough for Barcelona's first team. They let him go. He has had trials at Chelsea and Arsenal as well as Tottenham. We decided to take a chance. The others didn't.
However, I was merely pointing out the one-sidedness of the pretend conversation about Messi. There is a mood on here today to minimise the disadvantages of the shorter player which has involved citing the occasions when Defoe has won headers, a far from regular occurrence, and also overstating Crouch's inability in the air. He wins the majority of headers, but is too often unable to impart power or direction.
With regard to Ceballos, I agree: Let's see how he gets on. But let's not kid ourselves. He is currently with the development squad, not the first team.
My main point really was people already showing concern over Yamada based on his height alone. Even though they haven't even seen him play. Messi is obviously an extreme example as he really is a 1 in a million, but if this Yamada kid has talent I dont think the height will be an issue.

My main concern for the lad would be the huge culture shock of England and the huge step up in competition. He would probably be another one who is loaned out first if we do sign him.

Are we now basing our transfer tactics on the Arsenal style, buy young potential talents and nurture them while signing the odd player here and there with experience?
I think this has been the strategy for a while now. It really started under Frank Arnesen, moved onto Damian Comolli and now Ian Broomfield is keping it going.

I think it's still going to take more time before we really see how good Ian Broomfield is at this level. But the targets we're linked to of late look very promising....

Come on everyone. Read the rules or I'll get banny.

It's your OWN fault if you get worked up by the snippets of info that we're lucky to get from those generous enough to share.

Don't start getting pissy with the info just because THINGS CHANGE. Each transfer is a multi-million pound asset acquisition/disposal that will change direction at every stage.

Something said two weeks ago was probably true THEN. It's not difficult to realise that things could move on from that position.

Think. Please. Or I'll just ban you. As I'd rather lose those sniping than those providing the info.

Yep.

Look at some ITK's history if you want and see who you wish to believe and who you don't, that's what I do. Based on that I don't even read certain people's info so therefore I can't even negatively comment on it, simples.

Pity so many people scrutinise the most minor comments ITK's make. Its info, we are bored, take it with a pinch of salt or in your mind dismiss all of it as total bollocks and you won't be disappointed.

Since there's hardly been any new ITK I am having real difficulty seeing what there is to create a drama over.

Everyone's just frustrated ... been bloody groundhog day for the last 3 transfer windows which has pushed most people over the edge.

Akqayid, please don't let a couple of negative posters drive away your snippets of ITK (as they did with Adie & Storts) as the vast majority of us are (extremely) grateful for the info you provide.
