according to the Telegraph Chelsea have offered Anderlecht £15m for Lukaku in spite of our pre contract arrangement with the player
Valencia's had a change of heart, Mata is for sale (again).
Keeper
Walker-King-Dawson-BAE
Sandro-Modric
Mata -vdV- Bale
Adebayor/Vucinic
That's a PL-winning side right there.
Italian sports writer I just seen post on Twitter:
"Mirko Vucinic has only been linked with Tottenham in the UK Media. In Italy, they think he is going to Bayern or Juventus. All links with Tottenham in italian Media, are only when UK press are quoted."

. Leaves us stuck with the usual suspects who can't hit a barn door!

There is not mention of our pre contract in the article that you are referring to
:lol:according to the Telegraph Chelsea have offered Anderlecht £15m for Lukaku in spite of our pre contract arrangement with the player
POTL has already said we are negotiating with Vucinic, That's enough for me to know its real.
And harry has been nearly quoted about having a boner for Rossi. He is definately the target.POTL has already said we are negotiating with Vucinic, That's enough for me to know its real.
Vucinic= smokescreen
Real target= Rossi
According to fans of AS Roma, Mirko Vucinic is not training with them today. Reason: Unknown.
...
Let me paint you a picture:
First game of the season Phil Neville goes in 2 footed on Vucinic which breaks his leg and leads to him being out for several months. Leaves us stuck with the usual suspects who can't hit a barn door!
Maybe he and Rossi are getting shown round our new training complex.:grin:Reason: he's on a plane to London.
Source: my gut.
That's a fairly extreme example though, how about if after this injury to Vucinic Adebayor comes on and receives a similar challenge putting him out for even longer? should we buy a third striker just in case?
Having both would be great, but what the previous poster was saying is true... If we plan to play with just one up top then bringing in two first class strikers is not necessary and could indeed cause us problems with man management.
Someone like Pav is happy to play his role from the bench, failing that we could sign a younger less established forward man who would be prepared to accept his place in the pecking order and fight for his place in the team.
Tell me this, what if Vucinic doesn't get injured against Everton and we have both he and Adebayor demanding first team football week in week out? what potential does this have to course unrest and infighting and disrupt the harmony of our squad (something that could already be strained with the Modric situation)
Do you think one of Vucinic or Adebayor would be happy to accept they are second choice and fight to become first? Do you think VDV would be happy to sit on the side while we play the pair of them upfront?
Would you advocate playing VDV in the Lennon role? Who else would you leave out if we decided to accommodate all three?
I am not saying it wouldn't be great to have both, it would be fantastic on paper...just that I do see the potential problems it can bring and I agree there is not a pressing need for us to sign both.
That being said if we have the chance to sign both I think we should take it and MAKE it work.
