Please tell me we haven't been linked with Lukas Podolski?! As if we haven't got enough frustrating forwards already.

Adebayor I'm still sceptical we can do a deal here but you never know in football and besides, City can't possibly hoard all these strikers so something has to give surely.

There must be some positives about Podolski if he makes the National squad.

He has pace and a good finish as far as I have seen.

Carlton Cole makes the England squad on a regular basis.

Podolski is about a 1 goal in 5 games player at club level

it sounds encouraging off the back of Harry confirming our interest.

lol lets be honest, he is never shy to confirm an interest in a player, just look at rossi. He might be interested but that doesn't necessarily mean we are close to signing that player.

If we were to judge Podolski only on National form then by all means he would be worth considering - the same way as David Healy would have been considered a few years back.

Domestic form though, hmmm...

Adebayor
Adebayoo-o-or
His Dad was a great bloke
And his Mum we adore

(stolen)
Adebayor,
Adebayoo-o-or,
He hates the Arsen-al,
But we hate them more.

Not stolen, however until he actually signs I'll remain sceptical, so the disappointment doesn't bite too hard if he doesn't sign. As much as Vucinic is clearly highly rated on here, I imagine many, like me, haven't seen much of him so in that respect I'd be more excited about Adebayor.

We won't get podolski, the reason he went back there was because he got homesick and he was only in munich lol

THe German Crouch?

The German-worst-aspects-of-Defoe-and-Pav, he is awful and I'm a fan of the German national team.

Podolski does have a good shot but nothing else, I think he is alrightfor Germany because international defenders don't know what a one-trick pony he is. He also benefits from playing with Klose who sets him up a lot.

I didn't hear anything of them only saying it was from English sources. It not being in Italian papers only really makes it more likely since I almost never saw a piece of transfer speculation in Gazzetta or Tutto Sport which came to fruition. Both are worse than the rags over in England by far.

Fair enough but heres the message

Italian sports writer I just seen post on Twitter:

"Mirko Vucinic has only been linked with Tottenham in the UK Media. In Italy, they think he is going to Bayern or Juventus. All links with Tottenham in italian Media, are only when UK press are quoted."
