What Lennon has stopped doing is going on the outside of his man. instead he keeps coming inside and just laying it off.

Agree 100%. If he kept attacking his full back and going past him, Lennon would be a real asset. We're only really talking about replacing him because he's forgotton what he's good at and doesn't do it to any great degree anymore.

why is everyone talking about Marin all the time?
Which itk has he been mentioned in cos i musta missed it?

he would definitely be a typical spurs signing if you ask me.

Does Marin play on the right? We need someone there to give Lennon competition. I think we should sign nzogbia.

So after yesterdays flurry of ITK it seems to have gone a bit quiet today.

Is there no update at all from anyone?

Ryan? Mystery? POTL?

Why is everyone talking about Marko Marin as if he is signed, sealed, and delivered to White Hart Lane? All the ITK has said is that Redknapp is interested in the player. It's the exact same situation with Adebayor, too. People are seemingly so desperate for a signing to validate their faith in Levy, that they are jumping to conclusions about players we likely aren't close to bringing in. I absolutely understand and sympathize with that mentality, but I just hope many people aren't too upset if some of these transfers don't come to pass.

If Marko Marin is made available by Bremen (especially at the ludicrously low prices being quoted here), there will likely be DOZENS of clubs after his signature. Many of those clubs can offer significantly more wages to him, and some can even offer Champions League Football. If you want a direct parallel to him, just look at Arturo Vidal. Many here were salivating when an ITK said we were interested in him and were debating how he would fit into our side. He now has joined Juventus for around 9 million pounds (a fantastic buy for them, by the way).

It's the exact same situation with Adebayor. Many folks here somehow think, despite the fact that Redknapp has just said we will only take him on loan, and that by all reports City (a direct competitor), will have to subsidize a majority of his wages, that the player will potentially be a Tottenham man soon. This is also ignoring the fact that Adebayor has said he will wait until the last day for Madrid (who are also interested in him), and the fact that Adebayor's own agent specifically said this week that the loan deal with Tottenham is unlikely and that he is likely to be sold abroad, as there are a number of clubs interested in him. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to conclude that bringing him in on loan is very unlikely, all things considered.

Even in the case of Vucinic, all we have to go on right now is a few ITK's. There has been interest shown by a larger club than us in Juventus, who can afford to offer a larger wage to Vucinic in a country where he is already settled. Until I see Vucinic's agent say something about Tottenham specifically (he talked highly of Juventus directly in June), or even a quote from Roma's sporting director Sabatini (who seemingly likes to talk) about Vucinic moving abroad, I'm going to temper my excitement.

Spoilsport!

Take your healthy dose of realism (and salt for the ITK) elsewhere, this is the blind faith / optimism thread...

I refuse to believe Juventus are bigger than us! What have they ever won.... :shifty: I'll get my coat.
Everyone should treat all transfer rumours and itk as having about a 2% chance of coming off. Read it, enjoy it, live in a fantasy world and dream up formations and how they will fit into the team. BUT don't rely on it.

Italian journalist Max Evangelista's just been on talksport talking about Vucinic to spurs. Apparently no fee has as yet been agreed, we've offer £13.5mil, Roma want the think end of £17mil.

Someones telling porkies, or has been fed porkies.

That's consistent with what we've heard...

Probably not worth Goating it if it's in the press.

could it not be 17 mil euro, which is similar to 13mil pounds, plus 2 add on, or the 15 mill pounds, the itk posted earlier?

or is it,more "itk's" not on the same page?

Ps IMO worth goating or ROing, so all get the picture, or hopefully Steve Update, will carry it.

I was under the impression that the info we were hearing was that a price had been agreed between us and Roma.

Is that not what some ITK's were saying?
