Ever the optimist I think we will sign a couple of top quality players this summer (not ITK, just a hunch) I think it has all been hinging on get rid of some of our deadwood as previous ITK has suggested. Once we do this I think we will suddenly become very active in the market and my money is on a raft of departures this week when the squad returns from SA and the following week some jizztastic incomings!

Getting rid of the deadwood is just as tough, if not tougher, for us fans to bear than bringing in guys like Benzema and Vucinic. We know the reasons why too. That being said, we're mid-table if this window doesn't bear fruit. I'd like to think Levy, and to a lesser degree Lewis, know this.

I think we have plenty of 'open' opportunities to pick and choose from now.
Man City has bought the striker they wanted - Aguero
Man U not really needing a striker but do want to offload Berba, perhaps a young 'fox in the box' player.
Chelsea looking at targets such as Hulk.
We may have green lights for Benzema (Arsenal/Liverpool), Rossi (Italy...), Llorente, Adebayor (thinks Mourinho likes him but i think they want Neymar), Falcao, Forlan, Sturridge (If CFC succeeds in Modric deal)...

Yes thanks, hurt my thumb and I'm glad my 10 years NCD is guaranteed.
so, we are spending all window on a striker who will not join us, but it sounds good and levy can pretend we are serious in trying to sign the benzema/adebayors of this world, meanwhile crouch and co stay and we will have to battle for 5th or 6th place whilst charging us fans top dollar for our tickets...same old, same old....

Right guys, help me out here:
The goat said "THE MAN", which would translate to "der Mann" in German. However, Rob said that the guy came up with "the man" would've failed his GSCE in German. That means, the translation is wrong.
Now on the other hand, Rob comes in a thread and asks if we prefer "we are looking at a young player from Germany" compared to what the Goat said. Hence, originally, the mod who came up with "THE MAN", actually meant "The Young Man"/Boy, which would translate to "Der Junge" in German.
As I am not that into the Bundesliga, is there any cool player with a name, phonetically close to "der Junge" in the Bundesliga?

Hopefully Benzema is another VDV. Highly doubt it though, but Jose and Harry are good mates. No one expected us to get VDV but I'm not getting my hopes up.

If you google 'der junge' it comes up with Podolski
The only player I can think out with a name similar to 'der junge' would be luk de jong, he's 20 but plays for twente in holland.
