Fuck sake lads, some of you are writing off players linked with us just because they don't think they'd do well based on very shaky opinions indeed (I'd certainly trust the coaching staff and scouts more than I would a lot of you). IF we sign him and he misses sitters every week and doesn't get in the goals, then by all means slate him, but IMO he's the type of striker that culd thrive on the service we provide.

I'd certainly take his finishing over anyone else in the side, in the box there's very few better than him. Maybe Spurs can be a good fit for him, I can see it. Is VDV a bad player after playing in Germany and a patchy time at Madrid? No.

He's an International and he's a goalscorer, we're after an International calibre striker, he is one. I don't see what all the wailing and gnashing of teeth is about. He looks a player that is looking for the right club to turn his career back on the right track. I don't see how it's so far fetched to believe he could do that at Spurs and as for all the 'I doubt we're in for him' shite being spilled on to these pages, Huntelaar has been a long term target for us, hence why he's linked so often.

So is Vucinic dead? Have any of the ITK's who said it was done (Mystery, CM, POTL) explained why it went pear-shaped? Damn shame. Think he would have been a good buy. Oh well, I hope we start to pinpoint targets that will actually be willing to come.

Thats the problem, or should i say the most sacriest thing!!!!! its cos we dont know and eveywindow this not being any different it seems like a scatter gun approach fingers in many many pies and hope for the best! (or whatever we can scramble on the last day) The fact we havent got stuff done early again especially if we knew who are targets were, is a real problem and very disappointing!

CM said it stalled on Roma wanting money upfront and Levy trying a 3million year deal at 1 penny every other month.

Not sure that the deal is dead, it would appear that it's more that Roma want more money upfront that we are currently offering!

Well IMO someone, somewhere is being a wummy wum wum and is feeding us bullshit.

No amount of salt is going to make that taste better.

How else do we explain the amount of contradicting ITK?

I think Levy is in the right there. Aren't about 99% of deals done over installments these days unless you're Man City?

i'm not discrediting anyone's knowledge, but Rossi seems to love his life and team. He posted a pic of the beach near his house on twitter the other day, saying something like 'This is the most beautiful back garden' (or indeed very similar words).

I'm just not confident he would want to come to the UK, let alone us.

Again not knocking the info, as I believe it has been passed on with real honesty, but I just cant see it... I would love to be proved wrong.

I dont think it is dead, more stalled. Perhaps there is a point where Roma are willing to meet spurs halfway on payment terms.

That or we aren't overly fussed about him.

Didn't something similar happen with Arshavin? Pretty sure that deal fell through because they wanted the cash up front.
