Signing KJH and Farfan for 45 mill is so comical, its never going to happen especially at that price. This Journo guy is on a massive wind up, he must be loving the press he is getting on here. He is saying we have no interest in two players who we tried to sign in Jan (Rossi / Adebayor) so it rubbish that we have no interest in those two as I doubt much has changed in 6 months.

Not sure that the deal is dead, it would appear that it's more that Roma want more money upfront that we are currently offering!

With Britain planning on quantitative easing, wouldn't we be better off paying more upfront, as the pounds value against the Euro will drop? Or will the problems in the Eurozone mean that people will lose faith in the Euro and it's value will drop?

It's ITK. Take it what way you want. Thousands of rumours circulate this time of year. All that matters is when a deal is confirmed on the OS.

No body bar Utd and Liverpool and to an extent Newcastle has signed many players.

I dont think it is dead, more stalled. Perhaps there is a point where Roma are willing to meet spurs halfway on payment terms.

That or we aren't overly fussed about him.

Overly fussed enough to bid £13m. not small change really

Could be worse, we could be West Ham. How many players have they lost 12-13?

Nobody pays up front. All transfers are done in installments. Fucking hell. This sucks balls.

I think it is not a question of Roma wanting all the £15m (or whatever the fee) upfront. They are more likely arguing about how much of the fee is upfront i.e we are offering £5m and they want £10m. Probably to do with the way Italian clubs tend to buy players where they purchase at inflated prices with the mindset of playing the player for a year or three then selling off at profit and back filling the payment gap. In other words if they initially spen £5m on Vucinic and still owe £8m then they will want at least the £8m to pay back their commitment without affecting their spending power (and then add on a couple of million to help with upfront payments on the next player purchases).

*none of the figures mentioned here mean diddly squat - just trying to illustrate a point - badly!

How can people be getting themselves in a paddy about Vucinic. The highly regarded ITKs said that we were negotiating a deal. There is only one that has come out and said the deal has stalled. Until this is backed up by a few others I will take this to mean we are still talking to Roma.

Will everyone just chill the fuck out.

We want Rossi. Harry has believed that Rossi would come. Anyone who denies that to me in my mind loses credibility because I know it's the truth
Agree ryan but whether we manage to pull it off is another matter...however I believe...

I think all the twatter nonsense yesterday about Vu's agent flying to Manchester has just made people assume it's in a worse position than maybe it is (if it is even a player we are after).

The best thing about all this "Levy doesn't know what he's doing" "Harry hasn't a clue" "why are spurs a joke in the transfer window" is that it is so funny to read. Nobody on here (unless they are a SPurs board member) has a clue what is going on with the club, transfer policies, negotiations etc. All we have to go on is a few people who have some link to the club and trust that the info they have got is genuine - when even the people "in the club" might be guessing or being told stuff from people that are. It's all a bit of fun and something to distract us from the summer without football.

To be fair to them, they more than needed to shed a few. Imagine still employing Kieron Dyer for £80k a week (or whatever it was) in the Championship. I think there are still a few there still on silly money regardless of their relegation. It's funny, a few more months or a further couple more windows under Curbishley and that lot could have been financially and liquidated by now. What a shame that would have been.

I saw an interview with Curbs, he said he picked the players and the board handled salary etc... So blame the Icelanders

Alright alright.

Wouldn't want any of the players though.

We are in an impossible situation as we have so much shite on our wage bill.

Well, you know what happened with it?

Modric: "Guv'nor, I like large wage rise now, I stay"

Levy: "See this, this facking Wage Bill, here, this is what I do with the facking Wage Bill" (proceeds to wipe Arse'Nil with Wage Bill), "Now, fack orf"Eek

Hell, even Sunderland don't want the players Sunderland have brought:wink:
