I think all the twatter nonsense yesterday about Vu's agent flying to Manchester has just made people assume it's in a worse position than maybe it is (if it is even a player we are after).

The best thing about all this "Levy doesn't know what he's doing" "Harry hasn't a clue" "why are spurs a joke in the transfer window" is that it is so funny to read. Nobody on here (unless they are a SPurs board member) has a clue what is going on with the club, transfer policies, negotiations etc. All we have to go on is a few people who have some link to the club and trust that the info they have got is genuine - when even the people "in the club" might be guessing or being told stuff from people that are. It's all a bit of fun and something to distract us from the summer without football.

How can people be getting themselves in a paddy about Vucinic. The highly regarded ITKs said that we were negotiating a deal. There is only one that has come out and said the deal has stalled. Until this is backed up by a few others I will take this to mean we are still talking to Roma.

Will everyone just chill the fuck out.

Would be easier if this wasn't the 7th window we've been waiting for a forward like him. No wonder everyone is very twitchy.

who has said the deal has broken down? CM said its stalled, but we had agreed a price.
I personally think we've put it on hold and looking at options. I personally believe we are in a good position to decide which striker is best for us. It just a matter of time, but i think we have secured a good dealing position with a few targets.

I think we'll end up getting Vucinic....its just haggling, can take time....Levy will probably be more receptive to meeting Roma's terms half way once we've shifted a couple...I would guess.

If United do have an interest, and I dont think they do, it would of happened by now, Fergie gets his business done early providing he's not dealing with Levy

I'm just waiting for news on Hutton etc at the moment.

 He gets done so early he starts tapping up our transfer targets before we even sign them...

Just a genuine question please:
FRIDAY is the last 'working' day of the month of July and MONDAY is the first day in the month of August. Does announcing a signing at the end of the month or beginning of the month matter?
Sorry, just a genuine question. There may be something due to shareholders etc

No. Our financial year end is 30 June.

I hope we stop looking and start deciding. Be good to get someone in BEFORE the season starts for a change.

Hutton and GDS will be the likely candidates to leave this week, but maybe Jenas to Villa as well may spring a surprise.

So, haven't been online all day but I assume Manic Monday Madness ended up being Morose Monday Melancholy?

I have an awful feeling that by the end of the window, when we've signed, well, no-one, Harry will answer the question 'But what about Mirko Vucinic?' with the response 'There was never anything going on there - it was all just in the press' - we've had that response before.

Just hope Levy's got the whole 'The later we leave it, the cheaper they get' thing out of his head.

I don't know what makes me shudder more, Rasiak, Frazier Campbell or Pav. It's about fucking time the penny dropped with Dan the Man.

Last summer/January's fucking about cost us FAR too dearly.

Also Stoke looking at a few as well as Blackburn and was told Everton wants a cheapo from us too.
Sunderland and QPR hopefully do go for Crouch.
