Did SEM (Jerome Anderson's company) not buy Robert Segal at some point?

Think you've solved it there. SEM is the parent company that has him under contract, but Anderson doesn't personally represent Bentley

Some talk of that buy-out a decade ago: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/2743331/SEM-eyes-4m-Robert-Segal.html

The avatar, the Harry agenda and the general pessimism even during relatively good seasons...the constant bigging up of foreign signings and the whole Harry signing/Levy signing shite. It goes on and on, but it's not really for here and now, call it a bad day.

Sorry lads, sorry Dan xo.

You're not as bad as Brett.

I'm unashamedly tetchy as the season draws closer with no major transfers in as yet, have already given my reasons why I beleive it's so crucial. This window is critical for the clubs future and the club appears to be dilly-dallying...

Oh yeah, rumour on F365 that Diarra didn't train with Madrid and us and United are interested in him. Hopefully Diarra likes Harry more than you Dan.

Agree entirely and just hope the key bit here is the bitin bold.

I still have a feeling come the Everton game we will be feeling very optimistic and this pessimism we are suffering from will be a distant memory...however every day that passes makes me a little more edgey

Robert Segal took me on a tour of the Lane back in 1995, :) used to be Anderton's agent

I'd still be quite surprised to see us get rid of Crouch before being certain about bringing someone else in.

For all his limitations, VdV and Crouch was our best partnership last season and we're better off with Crouch than with nobody.

We can get rid of the likes of Keane, Bentley, Gio and Hutton without having replacements lined up because they weren't part of the squad to begin with (apart from Hutton who has effectively been replaced by Walker).

wow everyones on there! I did a quick edit on the URL to 'cro' instead of 'eng' and it has mamic and vuskan's info. Anyone want to tap up Modric?

Pretend to be Barcelona. Turn his head and get him to publicly denounce Chelsea and nouveau riche clubs with no history. Then drop interest because he's not fulfilled his potential at Spurs yet.

Woo hoo!

We've gone full circle from "We can't get anyone in until we get rid of some." to "We can't get rid until we've got replacements."
:bang:

We CAN. We just won't/don't.

Basically - We've spent a lot of money over the years. And while we are looking for a bargain, we don't have to spend any more

are we gonna let him stay now or is he still available for transfer?

Up to the club - If the right offer come in I'm sure they'd sell. But there's never been an offer, interest yes (two years ago) but never an offer and not one now.

That's all I know mate. But he'll, along with a couple of others will fight for their place I'm sure.

We don't have to... or we don't have any money to spend?

If the money's dried up that's a massive problem.

And it should also be noted a lot of the money we've spent has come from selling our f-ing best players for large sums of money!! Carrick, Berbatov and Keane in particular.

I don't think we've spent beyond our means. And we've had a good run in the Champions League now. That's meant to be a money-spinner. So where's the money?!
