I can see reasons behind wanting to shift players before we complete deals.

But certain players must know they are on the periphery and may not make the 25 man squad, so surely if another (scratch that, ANY) Striker is bought messrs; Keane, Defoe, Crouch & Pav must fear for a place in the 25.

Are they that disinterested in playing that they would be willing to train for a year and pick up their pay cheque?

I guess the question is - would you want to leave spurs for villa?

Would be good to get him in.

And you'd have to change your name:grin:

Seemed pretty happy with telling me, maybe this merry go round is starting to crank into life after all.

Everyone put the rope back and let the warm water out the bath and hide the blades

if it was the difference between actually playing football (something they are supposed to enjoy/love doing...) and not even being envolved at all on any matchdays.

then i'd go to Bognor regis. where they could pay by battered sausage

the information so far this window makes it clear to me we're waiting for something to happen.we had leandro lined up and appeared to pull back, the itks were in agreement we had vucinic in place and that's gone quiet. Given was going cheap but we went for friedel for nothing, and parker's gone quiet. The simple conclusion is we're waiting to get money in from outgoings, the optimist in me wants to believe we're still trying bigger fish before falling back on those we've agreed in principle, but i don't think that's likely and the conspiracy theorist in me wonders if we're waiting on a major development such as change of manager relating to harry's court case, major outgoing that would bring big money in or stadium development. I'd be interested to hear what peanut and the other itks think.

Affelay and Diarra would be excellent signings but Huntelaar and Farfan, good god NO!

Aren't you supposed to post it in there yourself?

After weeks of various people (they know who they are) claiming a signing is about to happen, Friday will be big or so and so has signed a pre-agreement, I might have some exciting (and real) news for you tomorrow.

Apologies for the tone of that comment, but this summer has been a record low for in the know.

Not sure anyone has picked up on it. Maybe because its not cryptic enough

:roll::shrug:

or that we ask people posting ITK to post it into the read only forum as well so we dont have to pick it up in between all of the other posts in here

I wanna back you about diarra bud because I know he is a player that we have chased for a while. My only reservation is the fact I have been where you are now. But you're right to be optimistic

Right - some news!!!!! Can any other ITK confirm this please or I'm having my plonker pulled

Diarra (sp) is done, or ready to go.

Maybe dependent on Wilson going, same day announcement?

Cheers, Akqa.

That is fantastic news if it turns out to be true, been looking forward to seeing Diarra in a Spurs shirt. Maybe not the dream striker yet, but one of the best we could have realistically hoped for to strengthen our midfield. Great signing. Any word on a fee?

I'm also glad to see we've potentially got a very good relationship with Madrid going on here. I think that relationship could falter a little after they've had another year weighing up a bid for Bale, but for the meantime, I'm pretty happy about nabbing thier cast-offs, as they tend to have some of the best ones.
