Look, if he keeps jumping in with statements that are either incorrect or worded as fact when it's just his opinion then yeah I'll chirp in. I'd say a lot of people would disagree with a statement like 'Aguero < Tevez'. Dry up.

I agree with you Paolo, that Dan talks alot of frustrating guff. Bold statements that make him out to be a bit of a WUM, all his anti-harry stuff, anti-pretty much everything which isnt Arda Turan and Carlo Ancelotti aswell....

But you are pretty much becoming part of his signature you are so quick on replying and shooting him down, even on the odd occasion when he doesnt spout nonsense, you seem to oppose just to let him know that you think hes an :shake:...

I think you should maybe think about cracking out the ignore list and saving yourself alot of grief, rather than continue to tear your hair out and longing for the day theres a 50-50 challenge in a SC charity match.

Anyhoo... I would be a very happy boy if we were to sign Diarra and pretty much any of the strikers we have been linked with. I think with Diarra here, we would really shore up the defence and become alot more able to dominate teams...Diarra + sandro = hard day at the office for any midfield.

Just to put things into perspective I have copied below a post that Sloth made in "Chat" yesterday. I can't vouch for the accuracy of the stats but am sure that Sloth will have done his homework.

This is extremely interesting and I don't understand why people don't discuss it more :duh: These stats show Pav as our most effective striker by far, and as one of the most effective strikers on the list. And his stats are achieved in the EPL, as opposed to those for e.g. Negredo, Vucinic and Llorente. I know stats doesn't tell the whole story, but I do think they say a lot that we miss by only looking at games (with those tinted glasses we wear).

Nice info for further discussions! Thanks Alfie!

I see some questioning my info on n’zogbia.

Forget what skysportsnews and The Independent and few other papers are saying about N’zogbia medical. Skysports saying Friday; independent saying Thursday. They are both wrong; N’Zogbia full medical today. The deal might not be completed until Friday when papers are sent but full medical will be done today. Independent also say it’s at Bodymoor; he might be shown around there but BMI Medical centre is booked. I have phones next to me hoping to get information about the Tottenham 3; but as it stands the bid went in and talking to players. Confuses me why they are more confident on Crouch than Jenas.

Nothing new to add from Yesterday. But phones are on.

Also I see another member confirmed my Diarra information yesterday from earlier in the day. It makes a change not to be contradicting them all the time.

And now the Mirror are picking up of my Afellay, link as well. Ironically he is in Germany at the minute. Also on the board yesterday I talked of the money troubles at Birmingham City and the Mirror are reporting that now this morning too. IS this site their main source of information?

Right, that's FOUR times now in quick time that i've had to delete posts on Pienaar or who's better out of Tevez and Aguero. Yet still the penny doesn't drop.

I've got better things to be doing so this thread can stay closed until there's some ITK or for the rest of the day as far as i'm concerned.

I really hope The Journalist is right about Afellay. I really would love to see him in a Spurs shirt. Afellay, Diarra & a striker would go down very well with me.

OK i'm a softie. Thread re-opened.

As has repeatedly been pointed out, although this thread is much more lightly moderated than last summer, there is still a balance to be struck so that those only interested in the ITK can also enjoy this thread.

Todays examples, Pienaar and the merits of Tevez v Aguero aren't anywhere near belonging in this thread yet the one piece of ITK that lands in our laps draws maybe a dozen posts.........

So when one of the mods calls time on an off topic subject, please react accordingly.

I have said all along that the friendly vs Bilbao is for us to sign Llorente. Don't know if I'm just far too optimistic...

Anyways, he'd be great in Spurs. Just what we need. VdV would deliever tons of chances for him and with his great skills in the air he'd be lethal with our crosses. Llorente + a smaller, more technical player (Leandro, for example) would be 'triffic. With Mata/Affelay on the right wing and Diarra as DM we'd be bloody lethal.

It's imperative for me it's two strikers or as soon as he gets injured we are left lumbered with the flock of cock knockers from last season

Afellay would be an unbelievable addition, obviously a striker should be our number 1 priority but he is a superb option to have out wide, will hopefully give Lennon the kick up the ass he needs too.

I would also tell you he is wearing a leather jacket and jeans but that could be considered stalking.

Blood test, Scans, assessing old injuries ALL stuff that will be need to be covered for the insurance today.

The other more sports related fitness stuff like working out his VO2max etc might be tomorrow/Friday. That is what the media might be on about.

i think is moire than just the one paper, the metro and daily fail seem to have info 24 hours in their paper after info apperaing on the bnoard. Also the fact that there is a twitter feed open to all which makes the info easy to obtain i would imagine.

TBF i think the pienaar discussion was in reference to the latest about us being interested in the south african guy, which begs the question what will happen it to him if we another winger and graham hunter's sources mentioned that this was a levy signing to make a quick profit

N'Zogbia himself would say otherwise.
