Apologies for rocking the boat are we seriously suggesting that Hoofhearted is ITK and worthy of RO?

Other than Bent (aaaages ago) where he had a link to the player, what sources do we seriously expect he has at Spurs?

I personally wouldn't look into the suggestion we may buy more than Diarra from Real Madrid. First we need out striker, then we may need Diarra and then maybe others and that would still have to happen after we sell a few of our own but at the moment I feel like we'll be lucky if we just get Diarra and Vucinic.

It's now obvious to me that the club's transfer policy is a shambles.... January was proof of that, although the initial worries began last summer.

One of the role of the club's management (HR & DL) is to identify the players that we need - and when that shortlist is compiled, then the buying & selling activities of the club should be focused on those players (and those players ONLY)....

However,it increasingly looks like management have no clear view on the players we need - instead, there's just a long list of 'maybes' and 'might like to haves' and 'only if the price is right'.... that means there's no clear focus on targeting specific individuals and it's more of a hit-and-hope, wait-and-see approach (similar to what happened with VdV last summer & the failed Charlie Adam bid in January).

Compare that to Man. Utd. They clearly know who they want and they make early moves to land their targets. They don't second guess themselves or become paralysed by considering endless alternatives. Identify who you want (bearing in mind that one of the criteria will be the likely transfer fee & the player's wage demands - so you don't go wasting time & effort on deals that will never be successful) and go get them....

Redknapp & Levy are too interested in the art of the deal at the expense of the successful addition of the right sort of player....

I've been saying since some time (since June) that we have a good relationship with RM and could be getting at least 2 of their players if all goes well.
Also, some of the latest thing that the Journalist agree with my side...

agree with Bizness - HH shouldnt be in the read only section imo. The ITK given this time is hilarious as well "we might be in for a couple of RM players" thats not ITK!!! Thats like me saying "we might buy a striker this window" - either we are in for them or we aint surely? I never slate ITK and appreciate all they do but HH is not an ITK and has got anything right for years

Do you know the players involved? Judging by your sig I'd say they weren't strikers

Don't know why any of you doubted him, he had an awful shitload of info that no one would sit at home and think of on their own.

Man Utd have enough draw that top class players want to go there, we are trying to get top class players in but a lot of them don't want to come so we have to get the best we can.

It would be easy to go and spunk millions on second rate players like Liverpool but we already have a squad full of those. What DL and HR are trying to do is very difficult, we are trying to punch above our weight. This ain't Footy Manager.

Well here's a potential list:
Gago, Benzema, Huguain, Alonso, Diarra, Granero, Garay...

Mourinho is really interested in Neymar but may have to wait till January.
I wouldn't be surprised if he tries Tevez for RM.
I wouldn't be surprised if Kaka leaves.

We pulled off VDV late last season, so i'm just watching.

Kool!!! Aguero is World Class , Aguero is a 'Marquee' signing .... where as Rossi is none of the two (yet) At least he tried , just show Aguero is a bellend and went for the cash, im sure chavs could have matched the price, shame Man City are single handly destroying football as we know it - although chavs to blame as they started it but city are taking it to a whole new level and the influx of arabs/middle eastern interst has just gone berserk with malga and psg becoming financial powers with man city,

Although I'm sure cash has a lot to do with it, I'm afraid we can no longer slag players off for going there for just money reasons. They are going to be playing champions league football next year and last year they won the FA cup and got ahead of Arsenal in the Prem. That makes them more appealing than us on football alone. However, just for a balanced perspective - I hate them and everything to do with them and they are ruining football! Grrr
