everything indicates at this stage that we'll be doing the majority of our business on deadline day... again.

sorta not into that. at the very least, would have been nice, if we'd landed a top striking target before the start of the season. just don't really see that happenning now.

Even just landing a striking target would suggest we're not going to have to put up with the same blank-firing bunch as last year. At least we've got that third goalkeeping spot covered though.

It is similar to riddles.

When you first start trading riddles the first couple are very good and logical. Then it just degenerates into:

"A man fell off a rope and died. Why did he die?"
"Because he fell off the rope?"
"No, because he was cheating on his wife 20 years back....blah blah blah"

I have a close connection with someone high up at Rangers and spoke to him for the first time in ages today. He tells me that we were trying to get them to agree to become a feeder club and Rangers were quite happy with the theory, but didn't want to be referred to as a feeder club and they also wanted Bentley and Hutton on loan for the season.

We said no as we wanted them to outright purchase both players. Apparently, this was the deal breaker. Price quoted for outright purchase was "mental", so all gone quiet again.

After last nights result against Malmo, I doubt Rangers have two pennies to rub together now anyway.

Then why in God's name did you decide to start telling everyone what Water, Love and And are in Spanish?

In unrelated news, I have worked out Blue and Yellow, Lionel is russian for Blue, Mess in Russsian is Yell and I is Oh. Blue and Yellow = Lionel Messi. However I don't know any Russian btw...

Because my link actually makes sense, especially considering that B&Y was going to be the guy who made Modders stay (thankfully he is staying anyway) and POTL has gone quiet on the subject in the past week - when Mancs interest stirred.

Но мне нравится Месси

I really hope Rangers continue to be willing to take Bentley on loan.

If we can get someone to actually spend money on him, so much the better.

... I can't BELIEVE I'm thinking this way about someone who cost us FIFTEEN MILLION POUNDS *sigh*

So basically we just wanted them to sign 2 of our players?

By the way anyone saying about leaked info not ruining deals a certain M M doesnt agree with you... http://www.skysports.com/story/0,,11095_7061323,00+en-USS_01DBC.html

Just because him leaving wasn't a secret anymore, Sidwell decided he would rather play for Fulham than Wolves? Wouldn't his agent make it clear to DoFs/coaches/managers of Sidwells preferred clubs he wanted to go before signing for anyone?
If the player wants to come, he will come. The only thing affected by a deal becoming public would be the price, wouldn't it?

Or maybe I misunderstood the article completely.

This window has all the makings of the others. I was optimistic at first but it's fading.

The itks continue to give us slight hope but that always happens until redknapp does his famous speech saying " we have a strong squad anyway, we tried for one or two big signings but they never came off, they were after silly money"

I still can't help but want to shout "come on you spurs!!" and live in hope that I'm
Wrong.

After being on the verge of signing Vucinic ten days ago, I was extremely happy and optimistic that we might buck the trend this window.

Since that turned out to never have actually been the case, I've realised we are, once again, going to do nothing.

I'm more convinced than ever that we've made the new stadium our number 1 priority now.
