What he actually said was unless players could be sold there wouldn't be any more trading to be done...in no way, shape or form is that ruling out buying more players categorically. It merely means they have to sell before they can buy again...totally plausibile to and something most Clubs will relate to.

This is true....But, who exactly do Villa have left who is worth any sort of decent money to sell, so they could sign our 3 flops? I can see them getting Hutton maybe, but thats about it.

I really believe that this is good news. I think vucinic was a back up plan and to me this signals that levy has got the big name he wanted. The itk seems to suggest that a signing is coming and I think it will be big maybe even a falcao type.

Thats definitely been our problem for a while, and can see why Modders would get frustrated and want to leave.
If we somehow shift them and manage to upgrade on those wasters, we finally might have the ingredients to install a winning mentality and challenge for the title.

What good are these players to us now if they don't give a toss about their playing time, just the amount and date the cash goes into their bank account. You can't depend on these tossers when your back is against the wall.

I want to believe, but I'm fully prepared to be disappointed next week. I seem to recall regular POTL "something happening, be patient, just around the corner etc etc" posts that never come off. He has to keep posting to save his rep after the B + Y fiasco and something should happen soon so not sticking his neck out too much. If we sign Rossi all is forgiven!!!

Either that or he just turned us down in favour of Juve. But I fully believe that Levy will pull not one but a couple of big signings out the hat soon.

Harry has said we are not close to signing anyone, thats coming from someone on COYS who luckily tonight got to meet him and the players at Orient, Even got to go in the changing rooms too.

If we're actually after a Swiss player then we should go for Eren Derdiyok up top (he is as good as Llorente) or Xherdan Shaqiri (not as good as Affelay (yet), but so much potential).

peanut on coys has apparently said we have had no contact with bilbao or llorente this summer about a move, although that could change due to desperation...

Having said that, there was some suggestion that the cryptic referring to THE in German, which is DER, could be pointing towards Derdiyok.

I dont doubt that...but the thing is the old line of we arn't close to signing anybody can change in an instant if discussions and negotiations are on going.

Plus, as if Harry is really going to tell some random..

Not been very convinced by him, very average whenever ive seen him play and made no real major impact just yet. Certainly nowhere near as good as Llorente, a million miles away infact!! Much rather Shaqiri too.
