I reckon Nilmar would be a Lennon/Bale/VdV back up/competition type rather than out and out striker.

Oooh B&Y, is so and so the B? I reckon whatshisface is the Y, accompanied by lots of tapping of index fingers on the side of noses as people slowly nod in appreciation of PTOL's genie-i

Nilmar managed 11 league goals last season and Zarate 9 ... fills me full of enthusiasm, not.

Nilmar is a completely different player to Pavlyuchenko but they both have 1 important thing in common .... their both inconsistent (1 moment of brilliance followed by half a dozen games of nothing).

Look at Cavani's record 12 months ago

Been banging on about Nilmar for a year or two now. Very creative and versatile whilst still being 6 foot tallish. Would love it if we gOt him !

Yes, playing as a winger.

Nilmar (yellow of Brazil) and Benzema (Les Blues)

Throw in Dairra (he's in London tomorrow I think)

And this could be a happy board again,

In all fairness if DL does decide to throw us Kaka (or fatty as we will come to know him)
I'll be stoked!!

EDIT - actually were never getting kaka are we!

With our CM options atm, I'd take Joey Barton on a free... (not ITK, just on his release)

me 2 reb.
For all of his off the field antics he's a decent player and i think he's calmed down since giving up the booze.

Good article about him in the racing post a couple of weeks back and he came across as a seriously intelligent, thoughtful, decent guy.

I'd take him on a free for sure

just got in and dont know what this Nilmar talk is, but he is certainly not backup for anyone. he is a forward who when fit was outstading last season and even more the season before that. Him and Rossi have been one of the best pairings in Europe for the last two years. He has got amazing quality.
The only thing i cant see him doing is scoringmore than twenty goals in a season. Also Rome have been linked with him in Spain after agreeing to sell Vucinic.

I'd take Barton. He's maturing as a person and as a player. He has that spirit and edge which would serve as an antithesis to the lethargy of the likes of Jenas.
