Great day, like the dawning of a new era or promise, a real statement of intent. He said he wants to take us back to those days.

So I wouldn't discount it just yet.

We need at least two strikers how can form a partnership aside from VDV, as well as at least one of them being able to play with VDV.

1) Because there were ongoing, plausible talks that were not dicscouraging - but were dragging on:shrug:
2) Because they were rushed bids while we were desperate, and were being held to ransom somewhat, but not this Summer we have had far more targets to aim for, on more favourable conditions:shrug:

Now, a question for you: If these bids were 'publicity stunts' as some fans on here are so fond of claiming, what do you suppose the club would have done, since the main allegationj is that we didn't actually have the money, if one or more of the bids had been accepted?

POTL took a bit of a turn in the last window (I think) and said he had basically had enough and wasn't going to post again. He still came back though, I think because COYS members were begging him to stay. Since then he has gone down hill with his ITK imo. He never used to bash ITKs or even post cryptic.

I think he knows a fair bit but has taken a totally different approach now it seems.

Just spoke to my work colleague again re adebayor and he told me that nothing has changed since i spoke to him early last week.

He is sure that adebayor will end up abroad, and we have moved on to other targets. He did tell me last week we would know more by the end of this week, so we will wait and see to find out if he is correct

dont think people should criticise POTL for mocking the Lennon ITK - it was a completely clueless and lets be honest bullshit piece of info. I am glad he has come out and blown it out of the water. Also, the fact he hasnt posted huge amounts of info is a good thing imo - makes what he says seem more reliable. The ITKs who post every 5 mins constantly contradict themselves, jump on the back of others ITK and say "yeah heard the same" and then make a huge point of saying "see, thats what i said" as soon as a link becomes stronger. POTL is still by far the most accurate ITK over the past couple of transfer windows from what i have seen. Time will tell with this 1

Even if it is clueless and bullshit... we, as ITK consumers, are told not to mock the ITK. So why should one of the ITK guys do the same?

We do need another centre half, plus Samba might be the new No.9 at this rate. I seem to recall him playing up front for them and doing alright, at least he'd win headers!

There are a lot of hints that point to POTL being a THFC employee whose tasks include passing on information that the club wishes to release in a non-official capacity. AkquaYid has stated POTL is employed by the club, and I think that scenario absolutely fits the info that POTL does/doesn't give with his posts.

If that is the case (and I believe it is), then might it be plausible that the POTL login might be available to more than one person at THFC, or it might have been passed to a 'new' POTL (like the Stigs on Top Gear) when the 'old' POTL had some reason to be replaced etc? Okay, it's wild conspiracy theory, and I can almost hear the laughter from A&C even as I type, but if POTL is employed by the club then I see it as not being totally outrageous to think that maybe more than one person has donned the Pottle White Jumpsuit + Helmet over the years...

Perhaps he got a telling off from his source and was told to scale it down a bit or something similar.

In fairness the Lennon - Ady info came through Twitter not ITK so who's being bashed?

because he goes out of his way to give us good information and is probably annoyed when people jump on the bandwagon and give us false info.

to put it into a different format - if you were a physio and were giving good info, would you be happy if some clown was going round telling people to do something different (that is wrong)?

Certain ITKs give others a bad name which is a shame and is the reason why many good ITKs are criticised unfairly. I appreciate the info is passed on in good faith and I do realise some will be incorrect - however i simply do not believe that a "source" ever told anyone that Man City were after Aaron Lennon.

Yeah I prefer potl now to be honest. The fact he poo poos other bits of ITK is a good thing, especially as he tends to do it soon after the duff info comes out. And he's obviously not making bollox ITK up just to pass the time. Sure he's still wrong sometimes but I like the fact he ends all potential bullshit talk that could go on for 600 pages like he has done with Lennon today.

Cryptic still a bit annoying though.

I've heard Crouch is off and Samba is in.

I posted a fair few weeks ago about Samba though (which was scoffed at by most ITK) so definitely worth taking with a pinch of salt, not sure if Crouch is off to Blackburn or somewhere else though, just waiting to find out what the sketch is with that one.

I think Potl's record is pretty good, but it's sometimes difficult to tell what is itk and what is just his opinion. This latest post referring to Lennon and City sounds more like opinion to me.

Either way he's no longer one of the itk people that I have a lot of faith in any more. Especially after all this Blue and Yellow business. Hopefully I'm wrong.
