I can't understand why POTL is ademant about us not selling Lennon. Surely the fact we've been looking at players like Affelay & Mata is a clue that we might be willing to sell him, especially given that we already have Pienaar, VDV and Kranjcar that can all play tha position if required.

Pienaar and Kranky are more comfortable on the left. We need a pacy option on the right to give Lennon competition.

Pienaar, VDV and Kranky are not right wingers though. Don't you remember how bad Kranky was in particular in RM?

More to the point is we still have Bentley who we will have to accomodate if we can't get shot of him.

And Mata is mostly a left winger. Affelay can do a bit of both.

But mostly we suck on the right hand side... Lennon can flit in and out of form. We're gonna need competition there, big time.

Lennon played best when Bentley was genuinely pushing for a first team berth so bringing someone in to push him would improve the 1st team. Could Townsend do this or have we loaned him out again?

Xherdan Shaqiri.

Immense talent, can play anywhere in midfield, has speed, worth about 9M, will be at least 3x that in a year or two.

We've already done it with Bale. The prospect could at least be aired if for no other reason than to motivate Lennon.

Good ITK from Grey Fox/Appy As Arry. Llorente seems to be gaining pace.

Probably imploded under the weight of it's own bias.

If Lenny were to leave, obviously we'd need to replace him but just to keep him working, Walker could do a good job out on the right - in fact, I reckon there's a chance that he could do to Lennon, what Lennon did to Routeledge and usurp him.

So, so quiet on here this evening. You're not all off fapping over a signing I haven't realised we've made yet are you?!

Is everyone locked away in dark rooms praying for a striker or some positive ITK. on another note Sky sports article about pav's agent saying Crouch is off first could mean we have someone lined up to come in tho how would pav's agent know that?

Can I ask a serious question, regarding the latest ITK, wtf are we trying to sign Chris Samba? I see SSN have picked up on the cash + players offer. If we feel we need a centre half that badly, try and get Cahill from Bolton, I mean Samba makes Dawson look like Beckenbauer, seriously Samba is awful.

Maybe because it's a position where we've had injury problems and we've found a team that may actually want some of the players we want to offload?

I can understand that, why send Caulker on loan? Samba is poor, he certainly isn`t an upgrade on any of our current centre halves and that includes Bassong.

Samba is an excellent premiership centre back with tremendous leadership qualities who almost single handedly kept Blackburn in the premiership.

Bolton waNt £17M for Cahill and dont want our dross. If we pay that you can forget about a big money striker.
