Can't believe people slagging off Samba- quality foot alling centre back with strength heart and added goals - he'll do for me!

Well with Jenas and Bentley on the way out that only leaves pinnar for people to complain about so they are starting early

I'd much rather have Samba in our squad than Jagielka.

Just in case we still have the Fatal Four-some up front next season.

Samba would be a complete waste of time in my opinion, he's no better than Dawson, Gallas, King or Kaboul

or neither. one isn't a good enough CB the other one is a good CB with minus pace. Dawson and Samba? we'd have to sit on our own penalty spot.

If king or gallas are available for every game then samba would be fine... but lets face it if King was available all the time you could play robbie keane next to him and still stand a good chance of winning.

Would be happier if we dug around in the championship or eastern Europe for a cheap young defender. We have plenty of experience in defence. Would rather have kept woody!!

But the fax takes about a half-hour to get up to speed since they can't find anybody to fix that antiquated piece of machinery. In fact, eventually it should be included in the tour

But we've changed the time of the fax so it's an hour in our favour :)

i reckon we can get him for about £17m

better that that £12m on Samba

But is £17M better than £5M plus Hutton and Keane?

Samba would be a complete waste of time in my opinion, he's no better than Dawson, Gallas, King or Kaboul

But he is younger and fitter than Gallas & King. Long term replacement for both?

I see the major advantage in trying to off load some of our players - if there is any truth in this of course. Samba wont be first choice....but if it helped us get a few off the books and free up space and relieve the wages - it might not be that bad if we are still struggling to off load to other Clubs.

This is getting so depressing - I really thought that there would have been some movement by now, been trying to stay optimistic but the hope is quickly seeping out of my body as quickly as virgin seeps after his first time!

Whats more depressing is that the strongest links to players we seem to have at the moment seems to be with midfielders, not exactly the area I would think was first on our lists of improvemnets. What's even more depressing is the fact that we haven't been able to shift our so called deadwood.

We have had lots of ITK saying that this player is joining this team, that player is joinging that team, so and so is intrested in that so so but yet still no movement - if we dont sell I dont think we will buy. Not due to a lack of money IMO there just wont be any space at the inn so to speak.

So come ITK please cheer me up!

Benzema has ruled out an Arsenal move so i guess that rules us out of a possible loan move

Eek

You need to take a chill pill, I know I keep saying that but really we can't do anything but wait and hope. Just think on how many teams there are in the world, surely one of them must want a player from us?

After a loooooooong day shopping with the missus I was really hoping for some good nes when I came to have a little look here but alas there was none. However I have had my little moment and will now have a nice cup of tea and wait with renewed hope and erternal patatience and trust that things will be alright in the end! :)

Also Samba is quality would be a great addtion...I would still prefer an out and out striker upfront but Samba is better than Crouch!

If King and Gallas stayed fit enough to play a full season I would complete agree with you but as it is Ledley will struggle with injuries - when he plays he will be immmense as always - but he will miss chunks of the season. Also Gallas is liable to the odd injury or two as well. So playing devils advocate then we need another CB as your then left with Dawson Kaboul and Bassong (if he stays)

Im not syaing Samba is better than anyof these but he is certanily a good player would be imo a useful addtion to the squad - plus he's better than most of our strikers upfront!

Get Samba in on the cheap, around 5m, wouldn't be a bad deal as cover. I think if he did come in then Bassong would be right out the door. Our policy is all about 2 out 1 in at the moment. Woody accounts for the other CB
