I for one am gonna miss bassong if he goes. Yes he had a shocker last season but he's still young and shows flashes of utter brilliance. Very much in the ledley mould, he picks the ball of positions feet doesn't clatter them.

King has NEVER been turned as Bassong does once a game.

Well I think we can rule Benzema out (it was never likely anyway) so we really are hoping for Adebayor, if he does end up at Madrid near the end of the window what the hell are we going to do?

Gyan? Odemingine? Eek

I really am worried even though there is still a fair amount of time to go.

...and still nothing on the out going front, looks like another week is going to pass with nothing in or out.

Times back page tomorrow has story about Mancini wanting Eto'o but includes line that in a 'surprising development' it emerged that Tottenham have also expressed an interest and held discussions with Inter official twice.

Not that we have a chance with City involved.

Interesting, but after turning down E20mil per year from some Russian club, I doubt it very much that he'd accept £60-70k p/w tops

Also, is there any links to this, or do you have to pay to get onto the Times site?

I wont be betting because he's the only chance we having of signing a striker in that bracket of standard...

If we dont get Adebayor it will be downhill whoever we get.

Eto'o has said he wants to play football over money.

Do you think he wants to play with the competition of Aguero, Tevez, Dzeko and Balotelli? Not even mentioning adebayor... yes I know Carlos may leave but still there's a good £100m worth of players to compete with there!

The story says Tottenham there would appear 'little possibility' that Spurs could meet his wage demands but goes on to say that Eto'o would prefer to move to London than Manchester and Arsenal and Chelsea are not interested. Still no chance I'm sure...
