My worry is we have spent too long this window going for champions league pedigree strikers. Should have been looking at them this time last year or in january

The story says Tottenham there would appear 'little possibility' that Spurs could meet his wage demands but goes on to say that Eto'o would prefer to move to London than Manchester and Arsenal and Chelsea are not interested. Still no chance I'm sure...

It would be the signing of all time but how the hell would we even get close to wages unless he was prepared to take a huge drop....

I'm not even thinking about it, its mental punishment

Eto'o has said he wants to play football over money.

Do you think he wants to play with the competition of Aguero, Tevez, Dzeko and Balotelli? Not even mentioning adebayor... yes I know Carlos may leave but still there's a good £100m worth of players to compete with there!

Crouch, Keane, Defoe and Pav in a straight swap.

I wont be betting because he's the only chance we having of signing a striker in that bracket of standard...

If we dont get Adebayor it will be downhill whoever we get.

I've always been pro-Adebayor, but there has been some serious ITK (sic.) that we are in for Llorente in a big way. Aside from the fact that we have seen Ady cope in the EPL, but Llorente has never tried, I would see him as at least comparable:shrug:

We have spent a lot of time "looking" and no time "going for" that is the root of the problem.

That'll be nice. Kaka, Benzema and Eto'o all playing for Spurs next season.

Because that'll happen.

I remember when he left Barca there was talk that Puma would pay part of his wages seeing as he is also with them. Just a shame we are not with them after this season as we might have stood the slimiest of slim chance of getting him.

Would be delighted with either.

Re Eto'o...if we have inquired, I'm just sitting here thinking of the remarkable irony of Harry's article regarding crazy wages lol....well, its not hard to work out why if the likes of Eto'o are on your target list
