Regardless of whether we buy anyone or not we have assembled a fantastic squad and one i'm looking forward to seeing in action once again.

Honestly, i'm sure some people on this site crave more about possible transfers than they do the matches we play which is absurd. Let's welcome football back into our lives again and just enjoy watching Messrs Bale, VdV, Modric & co play at the home of football that is White Hart Lane.

That's definitely true. For some it seems that this football malarkey gets in the way of a good transfer window.

For others it just fills the whinging void between seasons.

I just can't wait till next Saturday. Whatever team we put out I'll be there cheering the boys on and listening to Stoof's ludicrous ramblings about Tom Huddlestone.

Has anyone mentioned to SecretSpurs that he really should pass his ITK onto the mods first, who will verify his source?
I have no idea whether it's true or not and as with all info that hasn't come from the lips of DL himself...it ain't gospel.

Anyway, welcome aboard fella.
Don't mind the grumpy pants posters, we all tend to get a bit premenstrual at this time of the year - it's like our cycles have synchronised!!

I've sent him a PM to try and ascertain his source. For now can everyone be sensible and accept the info for what it is without going overboard on SecretSpurs himself...even if the info is very depressing.

My contact said we are trying to get Lorente in, but in his opinion we won't succeed/too many stumbling blocks.

Ade - wages/City.. unlikely... never know though.

Diarra looks a goer.

People are definitely goijng to go, sooner or later.

It's the spurs way, lots and lots of links, but not much in terms of finishing off, if that makes sense.

ITK info is simply what is happening at any given time, nothing is definite with ITK as it changes so quickly.

It's not necessarily itk though. It's someone's first post, with (so far) no approval of their source forthcoming.

In the old days of phoning the 09 telephone number for transfer gossip, we would usuially only find out about a transfer in the following morning's press.

Today there is this instant news cultivation where an innocent bystander could have the scoop of the century.

This plays out when it comes to transfer activity by way of every man and his dog logging their ITK, however spurious or mundane and the overall picture is one of success on a 1 in 20 percentage, or so it seems.

The stats haven't changed - it's just that we have far more insight form far more sources to get a greater overall picture of the transfer machination.

At the end of the day, we get who we get.

The Internet, the way we want success NOW... it's instant fucking gratification that seeps into all aspects of modern day life.

People don't want to queue for 2 minutes for something. They want it now.

I said it the other day, but it's a massive problem really. The world will disappoint you! Get used to it. Especially us Spurs fans. We SHOULD be used to it, shouldn't we?!
