Well we've managed to almost get through another week and it doesn't look as if any signings will be made before we line up against Everton next week. Of course, that could all change in an instant, when the SSN 'Breaking News' logo flashes across the screen and Kirsty the swallower says 'big news from White Hart Lane'...........It's gotta happen!

Life at chez A&C took a turn for the worse yesterday when Mrs A&C broke her arm. Last night she asked if i'd help her with the washing up so I tied a sponge to her forehead.

The days events began with POTL again.........On Adebayor......again.

Pushing today.
Going to have to break wage structure for this one...

Also, this may not be related, but in a thread this morning entitled "I don't want Adebayor", POTL posted this several pages in :
Suddenly he meant Blue all along. Yeah right.

Then, also on COYS more striker news...........

Llorente and Nilmar is very much on the cards from what I hear, if this Blue is a third target, then we are in for a treat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Spurs fans in for a treat? Meh.

Then Grey Fox/AAA

I don't want to stoke the fires of insanity any more , but just spoken to my source and he said "Everyone at the club staying stumm, last time it was this quiet was Klinsmann deal"
IMO this could be mega or something from left field and has gone under the radar.
It's oh so quiet..........shhhhh shhhhh. Love you Bjork!

Peanut then held a Q&A session on COYS

What if it was Adebayor OR Llorente?
Llorente but that's a non-starter.

Signing today?
No chance.

Before the opening game?
Hopefully! I'd expect something will happen in the next week.
COYS server must have been straining at this point.

Finally SC was the ssource of some ITK......

Hutton and Keane personal terms done.
I’m told it’s all done Villa’s end if Daniel Levy accepts.
NO negotiating anymore; take it or leave it. Decent price of just under £10m.

Contract offer for Jenas’s with agent. tottenham and jenas have an option.

Diarra told again was also done, delayed by Tottenham.

It’s all in Tottenhams hands.
To be honest, unless Levy wants to wait hoping for better offers, I don’t know why the hold up. Nor do I know why they are waiting on Diarra.

I’ve read “Grey Fox” update “Gone Quiet”
I agree, it’s extremely quiet. Frustratingly quiet.
Again with the quiet. It's cryptic. I'll say it again, we're signing Bjork.

Akqayid then wagered his testes..........

Diarra and Adeboayor on Saturday? BIG CALL!!!!!

Then there was the biggest ITK fight of all time.

I think Blue & Yellow was Rossi and POTL has changed it to blue being Adebayor.

POTL
The words 'I think' are probably key here.
***
And if I may add, if you are 'ITK', you will know exactly who Blue and Yellow are anyway.

Peanut
I really have no interest in starting a bicker/competition about info. Offered an opinion based on what you've been posting.

POTL
Well lad, you will know exactly who Blue and Yellow are, because they have been the same two we have been after since January. But you will already know that....
Once again with the abuse. By rights, POTL should be looking for a new home but the double standards will probably continue to be applied. The more astute ITK watcher is starting to see through the Phantom.

Some whoring from FTL brought us BEN's latest twiglet

I have to say I was never quite sure how we'd deal with Adebayor's massive wages. Surely he'd have to take at least a 50% cut to come to us. We can cover some of that with signing on fees and bonuses but not all of it.

Would still be very surprised (but happy) to see him in a Spurs shirt.

A&C I would never wager my testes on anything.

Let alone 7th hand information from a worried player or drunk agent! :)

The thing with Adebayor's wages, and that of every player that has joined City since Sheikh Mybooty took over, is that he must've known that he was getting a once in a lifetime deal.

City paid way over the odds in terms of wages for a lot of player, and those players have got to be absolute idiots if they think they can maintain the same wage if they leave the club.

I remember saying a few years ago that there'd be a lot of players who'd happily join Man City, tread water for a couple of years while earning massive amounts of money before moving on to a new club with wages more in line with their actual ability.

Massive Firday my arse :)

Wishful thinking Akqayid. Hope you are right. But there are still to many disagreements between respected ITKs to be confident of anything happening today.

I'd happily part with £20 if we make two signings today, but I think I can safely put my wallet away.

i don't actually think there is a club in the world that will pay Adebayor £180k a week so if he wants to play football, and therefore wants to move he will surely have to accept a pay cut unless City will fund part of his wages or give him a nice payoff

Very true. But they don't have to leave if they don't want to. If not legally, then morally Citeh will find it difficult not to loan out a player like Adebayor if they don't have him in their 25. And that will almost certainly mean them making up the difference on his wages.

Citeh can't afford these wages, either. They need to reduce the bill for the FFP rules. If they can't sell Adebayor, then getting, say, £80k of his wages off their bill in a loan is the next best thing. Levy knows all this. So he can take a chance. Who else would want Adebayor on loan that could afford even half his wages?

Seems to have gone very quiet on the alleged '£10m for Keane & Hutton, take it or leave'

Is levy a slow thinker?
