Or maybe Ade wants to join us if RM is not interested. You never know:shrug:

Quick bit of info. ( My source is reliable, He has told me stuff before but i don't think it's wise to post on Internet Forums but there is a first time for everything)

Llorente = DEAD IN THE WATER, He doesn't want to leave and his agent has told Levy, We are moving on. He also wants CL Football if Bilbao sell him but he is not demanding a move.

Adebayor = We were interested but deal is dead, Adebayors wages are silly and City are not even willing to pay 1p to help us. This deal won't happen because Daniel won't offer 180k per week. We don't want to buy him

Diarra = Verbal agreement betweek Levy and Diarra's people regarding wages, Levy is trying to get haggle Madrid's asking price slightly down but this deal wll happen.

Rossi = He has rejected us as he wants CL football

Nilmar = Harry wants somebody to lead the line and money can be spent elsewhere

Eto = We enquired but Eto's wages and Inter's asking price has killed interest

Kaka = Nothing, Don't know where this link has come from and we can't afford him.

Samba = Blackburn want cash, We ain't offering much cash until deadwood leave.

Keane = Erikkson enquired for Loan but Levy wants to sell.

Sounds v much bang on to me. Llorente and adebayor both no chance IMO.

I don't really care. I'm going to the Bilbao game tomorrow, I'm excited about going to WHL for the first time since May. I couldn't care if Big Brad F starts up front, I'm just looking forward to 9 months of bliss. I don't know about you guys, but June and July are my least favourite months of the year!

9 months of bliss? It's more likely 9 months of heartaches if we don't sign a goal-scoring striker. And it'll be heart failure if we don't make 4th at the end of the season, and Mod, and Bale all want to leave.

The Internet, the way we want success NOW... it's instant fucking gratification that seeps into all aspects of modern day life.

People don't want to queue for 2 minutes for something. They want it now.

I said it the other day, but it's a massive problem really. The world will disappoint you! Get used to it. Especially us Spurs fans. We SHOULD be used to it, shouldn't we?!

Sadly too true :clap::clap::clap::clap:

i've just waded though Steves update (thanks again mate) and it got me thinking...if indeed it is the case that we have players under contract which say's they have to have parity with the highest earners at the club...maybe thats why were waiting to ship certain individuals out, before bring others in? just a thought:shrug:

Shanks, I thought you said that you don't know much the other day?!...and yet here you are speaking the common sense that is so rarely applied by some in this forum!

Dunno about that, ITk is simply behijnd the scenes information, you have more chance of being right by saying so and so won't sign!!

It's not about right and wrongs, these is where credibility is pointless, because no-one knows who is right or wrong.

Shanks, is your contact the same that told you Forlan was at the Lodge?

Yep and he still insists that he was, and told me that it didn't go ahead (obviously). A couple of spurs players are my contact.

How has the Adebayor story gained any credibility?

City have already shown they will never strengthen us

So no Llorente, no Adebarndoor who do we turn our attentions to now? Do we bite the bullet and sign a more realistic target such as a Rodallega, or push for Nilmar and risk getting so far then for wages to scupper the deal and be left with the same shower up front as last season?

Has there been any more ITK regarding Osvaldo? Think he would attainable and be class up front for us

Cos numerous itk's have said he is willing to take a pay cut and City are willing to subsidise a portion of the wages.

You mean apart from him almost joining in January, that coming from the man himself?

Haven't been on all day an I'm bloody glad. Looks like any of our big targets are a no go. Seems like a waste of time as even we know these people are on more than we can pay so why waste our time going after them.

Not really. They've shown they would not strengthen us when we were competing with them for 4th place, but that makes sense. We don't know whether or not they are willing to sell to us now that they have Champions League football. Do they see Adebayor at Spurs as a big concern? He wont play against them for a start.

Do we all not honestly agree with this?
Looking at Man Citys squad you cant help but think that’s a title winning team in the making. If they have one possible weakness, for me, its Mancini.
If he wants to win the leage he is going to have to go out and play against Man U, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool and Spurs hoem and away and aim to take maximum point, rather than sit back and be willing to throw away 2 points every game.
Man U, Chelsea and Man City will be 1,2 & 3 this season. Of that I have no doubt. So technically, we wont rival City. We can, however, use Adebayor, one of theirs, to take take points from their title rivals and help their own title push.
IMHO city will deal with us no problem.

No, I don't honestly agree with this (this being that we aren't serious challengers to Citeh, anymore).

With a young and developing team, we were one striker performing as such away form finishing easily clear of them last season.
The may have brought more expensive players this Summer (though we have still to do our major shopping), but our squad will improve considerably for the experience of last season.
They have yet to adapt to playing in the CL as well as the EPL - if struggling to cope with both was a major factor in our season, why the hell do folk just imagine that they will cope with it no bother.

I honestly don't agree - with some astute signings are think we are more than capable of at least pushing them all the way, and quite possibly finishing above them.

Show some faith.

I seriously think this guy could do very well at Spurs. He's phenomanal in a weak team that plays football on the gruond. Think how he'd do with players like VdV, Bale, Lennon, Modric, Hudd & Sandro passing to him?
