I am honestly starting to believe levy is happy with 5th/ 6th. I dont think he wants to spend massive money and wages when we probably wont get CL again because of city... Im not saying levy is a *** or a ***** but maybe he is just thinking about the stadium more than the now.? Just cant see why we would be so slack after what happened in Jan.

Cant see us signing a quality forward in the last week of the window apart from Adebayor....and if it doesn't come off the mods on here will be on suicide watch

I can't imagine us not signing anyone. That would be genuinely unbelievable, even for a borderline pessimist like me.

To indulge myself in tedious self promoter mode for a moment, I did warn all those (and there were quite a few) who were expecting us to replace 3/4 or even 4/4 strikers this summer that they were being entirely unrealistic, and 1 or 2 was much more likely. 0 would be unthinkable, even now.

Cheers Stoof/Marvel

Yet again B&Y shoehorned in to devastating effect

Somehow I can't see us signing a Billy though, unless the goat is signing for us

Oh I agree - but I mean a quality forward, genuinely better than what we have...not like a Gyan were its debatable.

I'd definitely say Gyan is better than all of our strikers, and certainly a better fit to our system than any of the others. He's fairly quick, strong, skillful, has a good character and is full of confidence, he's also had a year to acclimatise in England and with our midfield I think he would be really good

Has there beenany (non-cryptic) itk on Hulk?

Mail is linking us. Would be out of our league I'd imagine.

Because as we all know (at least, you seem to know), buying a top-class striker is the easiest thing in the world.

I never said it was easy but it really shouldn't be this hard. We are most of the way through a third transfer window without addressing the glaring deficiency in our squad and frankly these excuses are getting old.

Yes would be a better fit for our system, I'm not entirely convinced though mate...

Maybe he's trying to spend his loot but no fucker will bite just like he's doing with Modric?

Maybe these players don't want to come to Tottenham?

Maybe Levy knows a thing or two about running a business/ club sensibly and has a set wage structure for a reason?

Maybe HR doesn't want a Rodallega or a Zamora because these plyers are good in lower/ midtable teams but may flounder in a team pushing for top 4?

Maybe this is all why we don't have a striker yet?

Hate to buck the trend - but I will wait until the TW closes before loudly announcing whether it has been a successful Summer in the transfer market, or not.

I doubt hulk would come to us and also he's not a centre forward. Id rather spend the money on falcao or rossi rather than hulk. Probably load of crap anyway coming from daily mail.
