i like the ruiz guy, got great goal tonight, decetively strong, good skills. pacy.. and from comments he certainly says right things.. sounds hungry! and thats what we need... hungry players
If indeed we sign Adebayor...
How many more will need to go to bring in another two/three?
5/6!?
That's our issue!!
Adebayorrrrrrr!!! I don't know whether to get excited and risk the disappointment or hide under my covers til it's on the OS...
F it! ADEBAYOR!!!!!!!!
Since it became de rigueur to knock him for everything he says. I've never, ever had anyone come up to me and tell me Spurs are a laughing stock or something similar because of anything Harry has said. It's all in their minds.
IIRC the last time we had such a positive burst of ITK it all ended well, so fingers crossed this explosion ends with a similarly positive result.
Roger Morgan acted fast.
When did it become de rigueur to say de rigueur? It's become pretty ubiquitous lately!
People didn't call Blackpool a laughing stock because of Holloway either, but they certainly didn't take him seriously.
Roger Morgan acted fast.
Who was it that said their computer screwed up before he could announce the VDV deal? :grin:Ah, well, he learned from the day Bale signed, when his Blackberry packed in just as he was about to be the first to announce the news.
BBLG was outside the Lodge as news was breaking to the reporters. He couldn't get on SC because the server kept dying.Who was it that said their computer screwed up before he could announce the VDV deal?
Ian Holloway gained more respect then anything else. Results make people laughing stocks, maybe last window where we bid on every striker in spain made us a laughing stock.
Also why do you care? Are you that precious? We have been the best we have been in a very long time, probably in your living memory, yet you can't stop moaning because of a small thing, which none but spurs fans will think anything off said by the son of our manager.
My god, some people will do anything to complain!
How do you know our scouts weren't watching him?Call me stupid if I assume that if we are going to spend circa £14m on a player that our scouts would have watched him numerous times in competitive matches over the preceding 12 months or at least 6 months. Against that backdrop the first competitive game of the season should have no impact on our view of the player. Of course on the other hand if we're making up our targets during the window then your point is totally valid but our scouts and management should be fired for gross incompetence.
How do you know our scouts weren't watching him?
Or is Redknapp the only scout we have?
Perhaps it is a least a possibility that the player has already been scouted and during the summer the scouts came along and said "oi, Twitch, me ol' mucker, we've got this Luiz lad we've watched this year, you might want to have a look when the season starts".
At least a possibility, no?
I've got the impression from previous things he's said that dear Jamie doesn't know fully what goes on at the club, whether it's based on what daddy tells him or not. I would not take his pundit soundbites as gospel.Absolutely. It's the fact that Jamie comes out and relays Harry's message of 'he was only alright, don't think he'll sign' that perplexes me. If he had a good game would that mean that we'd go for him? Doesn't seem like a logical way of conducting transfer business.
I don't think people should get too carried away about Adebayor....simply because it's likely he'll be a loan and 12 months from now he'll either have to take a major pay cut or we'll be on the look out for a new striker yet again.
Sorry to put a downer on it.
