General info nothing player related:

I just wanted to say that people need to get real. I know for a fact that people at the the very top of the club do listen to pundits on TV and radio and can't believe the naiviety and at times sheer idiocy of their comments from these so called experts about transfer dealings and running a club. I can tell you now that if any of these so called experts ran a club we would be out of business faster than you can say "ratboy." We have money but do have to work within limitations as we're not a Utd or City or Chelsea. We just have to be smarter. Some people say we have to invest, or "come on Levy stop penny pinching" with regards to transfer fees/wages, just pay the 100K a week exta like it's nothing. Again get real. Unfortunatley we have to run the club properly. This is not fantasy football.

The fact is no one really know what goes on - so please don't listen to individuals on radio, TV, internet, printed press.

As a side note - whatever anyone's thoughts on the Olympic Stadium were, I can tell you that not getting it was one of the worst things that could have happened to us.

lol

How hard is it to improve on 4 league goals or whatever it was we scored last year.

I don'tthink POTL is doing himself any favours by posting info on Sandro's injury when the player himself is doing it on twitter.

I'm sure I heard on SSN that City were considering letting Adebayor go on a free - presumably to free up the wages. Anyone else hear that?

Personally I still believe the Ade and Lass deals have been sorted. It makes good business sense to keep it from the public at the moment. Anyone who wants to buy our fringe players are much more likely to try and stitch us up with low ball offers if they know we already have another 2 players on the books.

Great Post

Everybody going on about how Bale/Modric leaving could set us back. Unfortunately, not getting Stratford has crippled us regardless. It's a shame the people who were protesting didn't have the foresight to realise this before going on their thankless and pathetic crusade.

Am hearing Bentley is refusing to move on at the moment. Has really taken his eye off the ball in regards to football, has let the money go to his head and is more interested in his bar in Marbella than playing football. This is why he's so hard to shift... :bang:

Are there any limitations to short term and long term loans in the Premier League?

Not sure Mr Bear tbh, he is probably slightly better then Crouch but I don't feel he is enough of a upgrade to make a massive difference.

would fit into a 4411 much better than any striker we have on our books just now though.

But dont think he is a better player than what we have.
Didn't Ben say this was the back up plan?

I believe it was in the Mirror at the weekend. Sounds like tosh to me. They may have more money than sense but they do still have SOME sense.

Firstly it's about identifying players who will actually improve the team, which is the easy bit - the hard part is actually structuring a deal and getting that accepted.

Think about it in terms of buying a property - you don't just hand over the cash and say thank you very much (of course some people can do this, in a metaphoric sense the Chelsea's and City of this world) there's stages to completing the deal and it's the same with any transfer.

ITK info or not, some posters would do well to read this post and take note.

You'd be surprised at the number of people think it's as easy as buying a player on FIFA or Championship Manager. Even when some of us post of our experience in multi-million pound dealings, be that in a corporate sense or real estate sense, people naturally assume it's different.

Christ, I worked on a deal for 2 years at my old place, and it still tanked.

My point exactly. And sometimes it can take that long to get a player.

Just got the followiing email back from my colleague.

" Steve do not panic, Adebayor will be a Spurs player before the window closes. There has been a bit of haggling over very fine details, and obvioulsy there now is not so much of a rush to get this done as he will not be able to play for you until after the Man City game. Don't read too much into reports about outright purchase as Spurs want a loan deal, and that's want i believe will happen.

So the percentage odds of ade joining have dropped for 100% to 50%!!! Remember the excitement only 1 week ago. Can't wait to get back to some actual football tonight

You don't know this though. It only feels like our deals take a long time because we hear ITK all the way from the initial interest until the player is signed.

C'mon people lets not all start hating Levy when in all reality we simply do not know whats going on we've simply had another peice of lets face it "loose info" from a ITK and because its leaving a sour taste we are all looking to blame somebody. now i know the way spurs seem to do business is infuriating but i for one think Levy is a marvelous chairman who runs the club extremely well in todays economic climate we simply cannot throw money around on big transfers and massive wages!! i want Ade at the club i want him over Rossi Llorente Falco pretty much all that has been rumoured as he is the type of player we desperately need but with wages that even Man Utd would be put off by why does it seem acceptable that Spurs pay it? until i see him on the OS im taking everything i hear from ITK'S with a huge dose of salt because nobody can be sure. Im sure Levy is doing his v.best to get him in but those wages are just disgusting and Levy will be hopefully trying to arrange a deal that doesnt see us crippled or cause unrest within the club!. We all want the best for the club we all want to move forward im sure Levy does to.

by the way where has Peanut vanished to?
