I think most are at the end of their tether with ITK to be honest. We've heard so much of it with no end product that I think most are the same as me and think until its confirmed then ITK is not worth the rollercoster of emotion. Diarra has been 95, 99 and 100% done for about 3 weeks now it seems yet where the hell is he?

...Bloody hell!!!! .... have just read through 15 pages of what can possibly be described as, in the main, the biggest load of whining bullshit i have ever seen.

Hate the phrase but its so applicable "TAKE A REALITY CHECK PEOPLE!"..... We support spurs not city.......
if we dont sign diarra, an other and adebayor so what? ..... we dont sign them .... thats it!! Thats as bad as it gets ...... No one has died, the world continues to turn.
Some of the reactions are hysterical at best, and at worst imply some severe mental issues going......
The squad we have at moment got us to 4th (ahead of city), got us to 5th last year (behind city).... Yeah so what if city have improved, arsenal havent have they?....so what if liverpool have improved - they needed to cos they were really crap last year - at best they are coming up to our level.
Spurs are on a sound financial footing and i want em to stay that way ..... Leeds lived beyond their means and paid for it, Newcastle did as well IIRC, Blackburn, Middlesborough ..... Naw fuckit lets add spurs to that list shall we?

Because this is the ITK discussion thread and not deadline day crap thread, however........the real reason i must of missed it was because it took me 4 hours to get through A&C's funny at the start, apologies.

Hyperbole much? You do realise you can spend a bit of money and not go broke don't you? I'm fairly certain if we paid 9m for Diarra or 12m for Diarra it wouldn't make us suddenly implode like Leeds. But it might mean that Diarra had already signed and signed in time for him to get a bit of pre-season under his belt and play against Man U.
I don't think most people on here are demanding that we go out and blow hundreds of millions on players we can't afford but if Mr. Levy was a bit less 'frugal' with the cheque book then I think we would have completed some signings earlier and cleared out some of the deadwood.

Our star player doesn't want to play for us anymore so I would say we have gone backwards like Arsenal.
Or you could equally say 2 or 3million saved could go to another deal that could tip the balance in our favour.

... I play in a band up here...the singer in the band is a massive city fan...has been for the 30 years i have known him ....... he said to me a week or so ago and im paraphrasing now " It isnt my team anymore ... I still go and watch them and cheer when we score but it is getting hollower by the week.. City used to flatter to decieve, used to screw up when everything was in their favour ... and that was my club!"..... He ended by saying he will watch them steamroller to their first league title and doubtless the Champions League as well over the next few seasons and then enough will be enough, he will go and watch Bury instead.

...........i think you would find the above not that high on DL's priority list, anyone running a business (inc football club) looks beyond the short term, employee's and it would seem, football fans, don't...........
