And Redknapp said "they're certainly capable of putting up"

Might be my mind going mad but think I heard him say (or imply) the offers no longer derisory and are very good offers.

I must have missed that?!? He said the offers werent dirsory ofers but at no point did I hear him say they had offered what we value you him at. Most of the modric chat was fairly postive in that Harry expects him here after the window closes by the sound of it.

Prob should move this to the Modric thread though...

If Harry thinks he can get two or three good players with the money already offered for Modric (30m), then I imagine that his and Levy's versions of a good offer are very different. Levy has the final word.

Well if the reported £10m for Diarra is done, then thats 1/3 of the good players with a 1/3 of the money. It's possible.

We do have an interest in Gary Cahill... the price reported in the media is higher than what we'd actually have to pay by all accounts! We're also interested in the Twente CB Douglas if that doesn't come off. Never heard of him personally, not sure if he even played against us last year? But we definitely want a new CB, which I think we knew already...
