I also think that our side without Lennon is significantly weaker. Maybe Harry was just playing down his importance with him definitely out

as for Lennon I have heard that before but he keeps playing him when fit.

and Harry please FFS don't start Van der Vaart RM with Adebayor and Defoe up front - Pienaar or Kranjcar shoould start on the right - even Modric with Sandro alongside Parker over VDV starting there.

Great news if everyone else is fit. Just a case of who comes in for Lennon.

Do we go Sandro and push Modric out wide or just replace Lennon with Pienaar/Kranjcar?

He has also dropped Defoe to allow Lennon to play. Obviously that is also because he recognises that playing VDV on the right weakens us there, but the fact is that he understands the importance of Lennon. Lennon has been our most effective attacking weapon for 5 years. Even when not at his best he pushes teams back.

He is every bit as effective as Bale imo and we will miss him massively tonight!

replace lennon with Piennaar. 3 changes for tonight Kaboul Pienaar and Bale for Gallas Sandro and Lennon
