Hope the fitness reports are correct. If so, I feel much more confident about a three point result tonight.

Niko was involved in both goals from the right against Wolves and also played well on the right versus Liverpool. Niko right and Bale left is good for me if Bale is going to play.

does amaze me people still want to see pienaar last time he did well?

Still amazes me this absurd Pienaar-hate thang that's going on.

You do understand his value to us as a squad player, don't you? This is a player who can play anywhere across the midfield, but takes up only one bench place (that's 1), and do it with reasonable ability. He is prepared to fulfill that role without screaming and throwing his dummy out of the pram.

He played a few games coming into a team that he hadn't integrated into, then he was injured, then he played a couple of moderately unimportant games where he did okay. What do you want? He isn't here to be better than Bale, Modric, Parker, Lennon, or, at a pinch, VDV - but he can cover them from the bench - and, for the sake of repeating myself, does it taking up only one place on the bench

Good post. He'd be very valuable today, you can guarantee on him putting a shift in and tracking back their dangerous side of Mata/Cole. Much like SAF playing Park.

exactly the line up i had in mind. townsend is not ready for such a game yet, we need a win or draw, we cannot afford a lost. 3-5-2 against sturridge and mata is suicide.this is the most logical line up. fingers crossed. coys.
