That there are no Croations in Newcastle to provide Chelsea with insurance against losing the CL final ?

Exactly, if by some miracle we make 4th we'll now have to sweat it out until the CL final, and that's before even sweating it out to see who we get in the qualifiers.
Maybe if we had hung onto 3rd I might have felt the tiniest bit of joy for them but even that is doubtful.

I can't stand Chelsea. I can't stand that they're in the Champions League Final. I can't stand that even after the gruelling couple of months we've had, if by some miracle we finish 4th and still have to wait for those ****s to bottle it. It'll be bloody horrible.
Part of me just wants us to fall away, just to not have to suffer the absolute outrage of it all.
It's a ridiculous ruling that UEFA made. Ridiculous.

If Real get through then I have the confidence in Mourinho to get it tactically spot on and become the first manager to win 3 CL's with 3 different European clubs. If Bayern go through then it is a home game for them but might be a little more squeaky bum time.
As for tonight, Barca were crying out for width and I was amazed Pedro remained on the bench, not been his best this season but he is a big game player. Parking the bus over two legs won the day, some are probably happy about that.

I hate Chelsea with a lot of passion, expecially terry and cole. But they won my respect today. I admit I kind of wanted them to win a little because barcelona were playing this fancy, intricate style of football that gets on my nerves. Always looking for an extra pass instead of a shot. People say its the best team ever but I personally preferred the directness of Rijkaard's Barca and Pepe's treble winning side. And this is why I have never liked Arsenal's style of play, despite the plaudits it gets.
Obviously then the final whistle went and my head quickly processed even if we get back into 4th...they could win it and it would probably be worse than Lasagna-gate!
That said I do think Madrid and Bayern are a hell of a lot more direct than Barcelona and Chelsea won't be able to contain them as they can mix it up aerially and on set pieces which Barca can't

Not even UEFA will do something that it can't do and has never done before because of Russian Oil money.
Lets make this clear. Chelsea CANNOT appeal. It is against the laws of the game. The Premier League is the only league that allows challenges to sending offs and for some reason FIFA has not stopped the FA from doing this.

They can't park the bus against either Real or Bayern as they both have plan B's (not the chav in the suit who saps)
Real are much more direct with people who can shoot from range and Bayern mix it up a lot.
I'm confident that the chavs will be miserable soon enough...
however if we (by some fluke) manage to secure fourth then i for one will be putting a wedge on Chelsea to win it...
